We travelled to Hohenzollern Castle from Stuttgart which itself was an adventure. We took the train from Stuttgart to Hohenzollern village and then a bus from the station to the castle car park and then finally the shuttle bus up to the castle on top of the mountain. You can see the castle from the village below and it does... More

I went for the Christmas market. A handful of stalls. 10 Euro each for two people. About 1 Euro per stall or a bit more. Small and no tours during market. I advise going when market is not on.

We arrived at the Hohenzollern on Jan. 4th 2017 and had the whole place to ourselves! We enjoyed independently exploring the secret tunnel under the castle as well as two chapels with beautiful stained glass! We also went on the guided tour. As there were so few people (and there are six in my family), our guide was gracious and... More

Amazing Castle, The children thought Dracula lived there. You park half way up the hill and can either walk up or get a bus. You can walk the circumference of the castle and get some amazing views. There are regular tours in various languages. At the top there is a walled garden and beer and snacks. Well worth a visit.

It was Ok Visit to break Sunday monotny on Wintery Rainy morning in Stuttgart. Decided to go to this place with my colleague here. Getting to the castle was truly an adventure. Hopped from train to train until we reached the bottom of the mountain and the castle was in site. Opted to take a bus to the top and following the tour took a walk down...one of the most intriguing adventures while in Germany...Snow filled the top of the mountain and settled between... More

It was a little difficult to find, but we are so glad we didn't give up. If you love castles then you have to add this to your list to see. The castle is high on a hill and was easily seen on the misty, overcast day we visited. I imagine this must look glorious on a clear and sunny... More

We had a wonderful time seeing Hohenzollern Castle. I think it was especially nice because it had snowed that morning and there was a fresh dusting of snow covering all of the trees and the whole castle. It looked like something from a fairy tale! In the winter season, there is only one bus up to the castle from Hechingen... More
