One of the finest Christmas markets in Germany. Small enough to be a "hidden gem" and not overrun with tourists, but the market and monastery have incredible charm. It's worth skipping the larger alternatives for this local favorite.

From the moment you arrive you know you are immersing yourself in history. The self guided tour allows you to explore every inch of the place. It is truly beautiful and understanding of its world heritage listing.

The audio guide helped to orient all the history and buildings. Very well preserved. I was so glad I added this as a stop on our two weeks in Germany! Well worth the trip!

There was plenty of parking available when we were there in April. Shouldn't be a problem for your motorbikes. I don't know about the cost for a guided tour - I believe they have to be scheduled beforehand. You can get an... More
