Barry met all promises and surpassed all expectations. Doesn't get any better than that. His recommended hotel was quite good [Old School in Port Isaac], his 3 days of tours were really interesting and he tried very hard to take us to the places we really wanted to see. Went out of his way to offer suggestions, find really special meals, and point out the little things that are the spice of any tour. If you want an private in-depth look at Cornwall from a true native, Barry is your man.

We had such a memorable time with Barry. His knowledge of Cornwall was impressive, and he took us to the best secret spots which we would have never seen if we were on our own.Most importantly, he was so much fun! He had us laughing the entire time! We all wished we had booked 2 days. When we return we will book with him again.

We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Barry to make our trip to Cornwall truly outstanding. His knowledge of the area coupled with his warmth and wit made our days with him exceedingly interesting and fun. We feel like we have a friend in Cornwall now and when we next have the good fortune to return, Barry is the first person we will contact.

We went on Barry’s Poldark tour and it was incredible. We saw tin mines, coves, and even wild horses. He picked us up at our cottage and shared a lot of Cornish history with us. He was fun, knowledgeable, and an excellent driver. We’ve been on a lot of tours and he was by far the best tour guide! We plan on using his services again when we return to Cornwall.

Very rarely do we ever write a review; only when something was really good or really bad. This is one of those REALLY GOOD ones!
We first contacted, and booked with, Cornwall Discovery (Barry) back in 2020, at the very start of COVID. After having to postpone several years due to travel restrictions, we finally got to meet Barry and do the five day tour of Cornwall. He also picked us up in Southampton before our tour (after our cruise) and took us to LHR after our tour, so we had a total of 7 days with him.
Barry is one of the most personable people we know. He has lived there his entire life and was a wealth of information on the entire Cornwall area. During the tour, we found out Barry also provided transportation to and from the various sets for many of the actors in Doc Martin, Poldark and others. The stories he told us about some of those experiences were very interesting!
Barry is an expert driver, navigating those one-lane country lanes like the professional he is. Personally, I will take a pass on driving on those lanes! He tailored the tour based on what WE wanted to do and altered the tour as needed because of weather so we could enjoy the best weather available for the various areas. He also provide great recommendations for places to stay and places to eat.
We have absolutely NO hesitation in recommending Barry and Cornwall Discovery for touring the wonderful Cornwall area. We plan on returning in a few years and doing most of it again!

Barry is the only guide you need for Cornwall. I wouldn't consider anyone else as his service is simply the best. His knowledge and professionalism make his tours stand out. He went out of his way to assist us when we had a travel disruption. I would book him again without question.

Barry picked us up promptly ready to show us as much as he could during our brief time with him. Our tour of Cornwall was more than we ever imagined. He took great care of our party of six adults. We found ourselves immersed in the countryside and the coastline. He was knowledgable and professional. Barry took us to some hidden gems that we would never have experienced on our own. He found the most perfect pub experience for lunch and had us back in plenty of time to spare. We walked away with incredible memories and beautiful photos of our day adventure.

Barry conducted a bespoke tour over two days for our group of four ladies. Barry’s punctuality, flexibility, knowledge and manner are all exemplary.
Our car broke down on the first day of our holiday, thanks to Barry it didn’t affect our enjoyment of our holiday.
This is the second time of booking Cornwall Discovery Sightseeing Tours, and we would not consider coming to Cornwall without booking again.

Barry took three of us on a tour of north Cornwall. He was right on time and was willing to make any adaptations to make it work well for our situation. He took us to the places we wanted to visit and was very knowledgeable about all of them.
When he dropped us off, he was where he said he would be at the time we agreed on. He made helpful recommendations and was willing to answer all our questions. He made the best of a rainy day and we really appreciated and enjoyed the tour.
