The castle has a great view, although the visit is fast and with little surprising things to see. The guide was very nice, the steps to climb were miserable They close for siesta. Should be open the entire day

Peñafiel is a nice little village with a beautiful middle age castle on the top. It is well maintained and it also encloses the local wine museum sponsored by Protos, the famous local wine producer. The castle is quite small and the tour will last...More

Looks better from a distance, and the tour isn't worth paying for, especially as it is only available in Spanish. We didn't bother with the wine museum, having booked to visit several bodegas whilst in the area.
