Peñafiel is a nice little village with a beautiful middle age castle on the top. It is well maintained and it also encloses the local wine museum sponsored by Protos, the famous local wine producer.

Looks better from a distance, and the tour isn't worth paying for, especially as it is only available in Spanish. We didn't bother with the wine museum, having booked to visit several bodegas whilst in the area.
