This is definite must-see in this part of the region. Whilst similar in scale and layout to other castles nearby, what marks it out is the quality of much of the restoration work, together with the newly completed facilities, including 2 brand new purpose built...More

6 Euro entry gets you amazing views of the hills, bay and port! Great photo opportunities and the castle itself is pretty impressive! Good place to sit in the sun, was very peaceful when we came. Sadly no cafe

very un impressing castle, a bit neglected, the only reason getting here may be taking a few shots at the bay of navarino, if you want to faint at a view of an impressing castle head to methoni ,not too far away

A big castle full of surprises (church, museums). Again, you can wander here for hours, just make sure to bring water with you and wear a hat! The place makes you feel a free as a bird time traveler :)

This castle was built many centuries ago. However it is still in a good condition . Very big castle located in a high hill with many bomb weapons and other features. It is very good to understand how people protected their city many years before.

Don't miss the excellent two (!) modern small museums located in the castle. The archeological one is a must! Along with the stunning views from the castle acropolis....

Strongly strongly recommend that the new museum of Pylos. They are perfect. Two spaces with underwater findings from the wider region of Peloponnese. Principal new building which was transferred archaeological broader than the old Museum. In an environment absolutely modern and particularly friendly to visitors.

If this is the place for the Navarino castle, I highly recommend it. I would do this rather than go to Delphi, Olympia, Mystras, or mycenae. In one day you can do koroni, methoni and pilos. Each castle i listed is different, beautiful, and better...More
