When I paid this route, I was hesitating a bit about it... But it was really great. Good explanations, great views, nice people on board... If you have good weather, I would definitely recommend this visit

If you don't want to hike for hours (it might be worth it!), check for a 1hour boat trip along the flysch coast with the zumaya tourist office. They are very helpful and competent! You can also see several view points between zumaya and deba.

Our family with teens had the best time doing this hike. We started at Zumaia and walked 15 km from there. Took the train back. Beautiful cliffs, forests, plains, etc. One of the highlights of our trip to the Basque Country.

Almost fools you into thinking it's a lava flow pouring into the sea. Read aetiology on Google search. Nil explanatory notes except in Basque. Steep climb.to vantage point at Zumaia and was high tide. Worth a few photos.

If you are visiting San Sebastian, you must go here. It is only 30 minutes from San Sebastian. The place is not easy to find. I found it using "San Telmo Chapel" on my GPS

I would vote for walking around. The views will be spectacular no matter which you choose, but walking around will bring you up close with the rock formations and the pastoral landscapes.
