Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you visit Basque Country, you can not avoid this place. There is a nice walk untill the cliff final and the view from there are awesome! Also the location of the church makes that very special.

The ermita is within walking distance of Zumaia's center. The building itself is quaint. The views spectacular.

This chapel was not too far from the beach. It stands out on a rock formed by the Flysh. Right behind it is a large place with Flysh formations as well and all that for free. When I looked over the rocks I found more Flysh formations on the beach. It’s everywhere!
Even though it was raining, I was surprised to see so many tourists! They were admiring the Ermita and the Flysh formations.
I was able to take pictures inside the church, thanks to an opening at the door. This place is dedicated to the sailors. Inside I noticed a wooden altar in rococo style and a wooden statue of the Madonna and Child. Right next to them were two oars. The benches were made of wood as well.
What a great experience!
It was the highlight of my day! Quite worthwhile!

Ermita de San Telmo in the Basque region of Spain is very close to old town and well worth the climb for the spectacular views.

If you are visiting San Sebastian, you must visit the chapel. It is only 30 minutes from San Sebastian.

Perhaps one of the most famous ermitas all around Spain due to the famous film. The spectacular views make this place special. Appart from this, the place is within a walking distance from the old town

I was unable to enter the Hermitage, but the view from it is spectacular. There is a path from the hermitage out onto the rock outcrop that affords an equally impressive view.

We wanted to go up by car and we were not able to since there is a sign below that only Hotels and Residents are prohibited from entering. And I have been left without seeing it since I have a disability and I can't walk almost at all.

Incredible place 😊. We made the journey to the rock but it can be done much longer. It didn't get us very hot in August.

Hi, Can visitors enter the Ermita de San Telmo? If so what are the open hours and is there an entrance fee? Thanks
