So this is one of South Africa's biggest tourist attractions. And it is also a place and region that many locals visit weekly of not daily. Table Mountain is 260 million years old and older than the Andes, the Alps, the Rocky Mountains and the Himalayas. In 2012, Table Mountain was inaugurated as one of the world’s ‘New7Wonders of Nature’.... More

Perhaps not the best day to visit the Table Mountain on Easter Monday. Public Holiday equals insanely long queues to get to the top. We came at 11:00 and there was a 2 hour waiting time. Next time we will take our hiking booths and walk up there. Much easier and hassle free.

Having hiked up Lion's Head the evening before, it was perhaps a brave move to do Table Mountain the next day but it could not have been more rewarding. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking - probably the best I've ever seen. We did the Platteklip Gorge which was in fact more challenging than we were led to... More

Visiting Table Mountain was the highlight of our time in Cape Town. We took a car to the base of the cable car, then took that to the top and back down. It was great. If we ever go back and have a whole day, maybe we would hike it. The view from the top is amazing. It's must-do for... More

We went to Table mountain by cable car then walked at the top. We choose a sunny day and we're rewarded with unbelievable views around. This is spectacular stuff not to be missed There is plenty to walk at the top. Some advices: choose a sunny day, arrive early to beat the crowds, were adequate shoes as the track is... More

Table mountain is well worth a visit, book your tickets for the cable car online to hopefully reduce your wait time as it can be 1-2 hours wait till you get near the cable car. Once you get into the cable car and start the journey the wait will seam like a distant memory as views are wonderful on the... More

If nothing else, take the bus tour up Table Mountain to get a better perspective. The gondola would be even better but it often is not available because of windy conditions.

Its a good place to visit and a good place to track with kids amidst clouds and rocks. Its place to walk, have coffee, admire the nature and spend hours reading a book or simply looking around. Entire Cape Town looks amazing at the backdrop. It can be quite a line at the top so it will be good to... More

Definitely worth visiting! walking or by cable railway. If it is not too winding and you health is ok do the walk to the top and after a beer or two consider the walk down. Bring a lot of water and some fruit don´t forget good walking shoes (not flipp flopp) It is a tuff trip but a fantastic view... More
