Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you want to be more familiar with a region where regions Lika, Gorski Kotar and Kordun are bordering you should first come to the small town Ogulin which is in the middle of it. Very historical with a legends, fairytales and beautiful nature, "Dulin ponor" or Dula pit distinguished itself within those. The romatic legend about this pit giving this portal to the cave system even more magic. Actually whole town and sourrandings is a magical place needed to be explored. The beautiful nature, mountains, rivers, forests, caves all making Ogulin area very fameous for trips and visits.
Most people don't know that Ogulin was build above the largest cave systems in Croatia, with corridors and halls 16 km (10 miles) long. There are, also, entrances to this system and the largest one is the Dula pit, 40 meters deep entrance in the center of the city. There are no such towns built above the cave systems like this in Croatia, and a very few in the world.
Just to be clear, you can see it from above (2 view points), but it's too dangerous to enter it - so it's not allowed. However, very popular place for cavers.
The old castle and fortress just above pit making this place something should be seen.

I visited Ogulin while cycling from Zagreb to the old town of Motovun in Istria. It was the first day stop of a three day ride. We were welcomed by the Tourist Bureau and introduced to the best parts of the town.
One of the highlights was the Dula pit in the center of Ogulin.
There is a legend about this pit, romantic one of course, but it's for you to discover it on the spot. It's not so special to come and see it by itself, but the whole town - with an old fortification above the Dula pit and the Ivanina Kuca Bajke (see the review to understand what it is) is a nice place to stop on the way to the coast form the highway or the old road.
Just to be clear, you can see it from above (2 view points), but it's too dangerous to enter it - so it's not allowed. However, very popular place for cavers.

Djula's abiss or Dobra (name of the river) abiss is where river Dobra flow ends. Ogulin gets his name from Latin " ob gula" which means a groan or an abyss.

Thisi is the place where the River Dobra goes underground. There's not much water in Dobra river during the summer months but if you come in spring or after a rainy period, the thunder of the flow definitely adds to the experience.

There is a legend about a girl Đula that threw herself from this cliff after her loved one was killed in a battle with Turks in the 16th century.

Hole (ponor) is last part of canyon that cuts the city Ogulin. In the summer months you can see a small river flowing while in the spring that is a large swollen river that plunges into the depths of the earth's crust.
