奈義中学校近くの十字路の傍らに石柱と案内看板があります。かつては四ツ道と呼ばれて、津山から鳥取の街道として栄えたとのことです。石柱の4面には、それぞれの方向はどこへ通じるのか記されています。道案内として重要な役割を果たしていました。

奈義町役場付近、国道53号線豊沢交差点を南へ下り１つ目の信号交差点の左側にあります。この道しるべは天保４年1837年に建てられたものだそうです、当時はここが街道が交わり、栄えたところです。なんともない道標に往時がしのばれます。

旧因幡街道添いの交叉点に立つ道標です。津山の元標から五里に位置するようで4方向の各方面を示すようになっていました。現在は、舗装道路脇に埋もれるような感じで目立たない状態でした。
