Alhama de Granada is a small town in a stunningly beautiful area of Andalucía. We were visiting the town for the day and passed the interpretation centre. A young lady from the centre came out to speak to us and invited us in.
Worth a look for sure. The woman at the desk was helpful and friendly. Our visit was short, and perhaps I missed some elements: but it's a great start in a wonderful building in explaining the incredible history of this charming town.
The CIAG is the place where Alhama de Granada is explained. Its history, the famous earthquake of Christmas Day 1884 which virtually destroyed the city. The local culture such as the Carnival, the Fiestas, the Churches, the Arab heritage, the Spanish Conquest and much more....More
