Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The mall lacks crucial things, there was no water, escalators not working not to mention the Aircons it was extremely packed making it difficult for me since im heavily pregnant to wait in the lines for toilet. Shops were hot no aircons working, im convinced that the owners is a capitalist

My sister was recently released from hospital after a long stay. She has been learning to walk again using a walking aid but cannot go for long distances. We took her out for dinner to celebrate coming through the serious hospital event. We were so grateful for the wheelchair use facility that Paviliion offers where you can borrow one of the wheelchairs they have available from the Katanga office between entrance 2 and 3. It made my sister feel like a new person to be out again even for a short while. She would not have made the distance between the car and the restuarant with her walker and the wheelchair made all the difference. Thank you Pavillion for this invaluable service that means so much to those that are going through temporary impairment.

Exactly what a shopping mall should be! Parking is a tad overwhelming but I expect once you’ve done it a few times would be easy to navigate! Had everything we needed! Plenty of nice places to eat! Would go during the weekdays if I had a choice to avoid the mass of people but that being said we went today (sunday) and it was busy but wasn’t crowded by any means.

A really good place to shop as there is a wide variety of stores that cater to all your needs. The parking is expensive, and getting out of there is a nightmare. I miss the book store that was closed down, and now have to travel to Ballito to get my books.

The Pavilion, like most large malls, has a mix of food, entertainment and various retail outlets. There is usually plenty of parking, there are many exits and entrances so there are seldom long queues to pay for parking before you leave.

If you have a pram/trolley/wheelchair the lifts can get busy, especially for some reason, the ones at centre court, so perhaps plan your route around to avoid those ones.

The one thing that is lacking is a bookshop. After a lull as people turned to e-readers, there is a big move back to 'real' books, and this mall has no bookshop. It has a CNA but CNA, like Boardmans, has lost its direction and identity and whilst it used to be a place to buy books it isn't any longer. It has a few, many are well-thumbed and yellowing. There is more at domestic departures at King Shaka.

So if you are looking to spend a few hours shopping and maybe having a bite to eat, the Pavilion is a great option, if you are looking to buy something to read for yourself or as a gift, you'll have to choose somewhere else.

The cost of items at other similar branded stores are the same except at the pavilion it costs R 9 .00 more because one has tp pay for parking. Not as busy as it used to be.
Clean and less crowded. Many shops seemed to be anxiously awaiting customers.
