About
Lauro 27 Golf can be found in the middle of beautiful pure nature in spectacular surroundings. The course consists of 27 holes that can be played in three different combinations, all par 72. From the beginning the design and function of the course has been based on respecting the nature and the environment that surrounds it by not only saving and caring for the already existing trees but also by planting thousands of new trees, most of them indigenous Andalusian species. In Lauro Golf the nature is everywhere. Within the whole complex the direct contact with the nature is constant and whether you are playing golf, living in the residences or just enjoying a stroll in the surroundings you can see that we are not the only visitors at Lauro Golf. You can often see rabbits, ducks, partridges, herons and even eagles on and around the golf course, our friendly neighbours who are enjoying the micro-climate of the course created by the thousands of trees and the fourteen lakes of the golf c

- John LSheffield, United Kingdom5 contributionsGreat course , spoilt by poor fairwaysJust played the course last Sunday 8th October. The course layout is very appealing. There are 27 holes and we played 10th to 27th . The one big disappointment was the condition of the fairways, there was so much sand it was like playing on the beach . I'm not sure whether this was due to climatic conditions or a lack of maintenance. I would love to play this course again but only if the above has improved massively. The club house and practice facilities all top notch.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 11 October 2023

Front nine was average and a bit dangerous with lots of up and down holes .last hole was best of the whole 18. Holes 1 to 9 were slightly better but still not very inspiring. The clubhouse and surrounds are lovely and enjoyed relaxing there after roundVisited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 17 June 2024

- Steve BWitham, United Kingdom64 contributionsFirst time visitWe chose Laura Golf as our introduction to golfing holidays and we’re certainly not disappointed. On arrival we were met by very friendly and helpful staff in the golf shop. Happy to book taxis and help wherever they could. Check in was easy, then escorted to our very large and spacious town house overlooking the course.easily accommodated our party of 8 with kit. We were informed prior to arrival that one of the loops was closed for maintenance so no great issue with 18 holes still available. Courses were generally good. 9to19 got a bit dodgy at times from wayward balls coming in from adjacent fairways as they are quite tight in places but the fairways and greens were in good condition. Try and stay on the fairways though, the rough is just that. Hard packed dirt and sand. Surprised on how quiet it seemed at times, nice to have space in front and behind, never seemed to be any queues. The bar/ restaurant in the finca is first class. Very chilled, very. Good food and lovely setting. Just a shame it closes for food at 8 and drink 9. Eating dinner meant a taxi into the nearest town where there are some lovely places to eat. A shop on site selling general supplies would be a good addition, again it’s a taxi ride to the nearest supermarket. Only about 10 minutes but would still be nice in-house. In summary, if all loops of 9 were open and the facilities are slightly better and open later this trip would have got 5 stars. We will definitely be back in the future . Many thanks to all at Lauro.Visited September 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 15 September 2024
- Easter10014 contributionsCould be better.Lauro Golf is one of those places that is good but could be so much better. Firstly, the golf course. Of the 27 holes available 18 are in play, this is to allow re-generation and maintenance on the other 9. We played 1-9 and 19-27. Holes 1-9 are very good, well laid out, a fair test and threading around some of the resorts residential area. 19-27 are OK but the initial 6 holes run very tightly, up and down, parallel to each other. The fairways are not that wide and second shots bring you into hook/slice range from the tees of adjacent holes. So much so that there is an almost constant chorus of "fore" while playing these holes and it felt like you were under bombardment sometimes, constantly ducking and covering your head. This was a common complaint from other golfers we spoke to. The greens were in decent condition, well watered and very quick but they tended to cut up a little on the surface with pitch and spike marks. Not the worst course I've played but not the best either. Next the accommodation and facilities. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. A swimming pool was available along with tennis courts and a bowling green but no gym. The resort bar served good food but closed at 9pm meaning a trip into town is necessary if you want something a bit more lively. Breakfast is a disappointment. A fair selection pastries, fruit, and hot is available along with juices and tea/coffee. However the "hot" selection is only just of an edible temperature, very un-inspiring and needs sorting out. On the whole we enjoyed our visit, the location and the hot and sunny weather made the golf a pleasure but a few improvements are necessary.Visited September 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 1 October 2024

The golf course is 3 loops of 9. It would be hard to find a better 9 holes than 19 - 27 as very well put together, very picturesque and a good test for most golfers.
That’s not to say the other holes are bad they compliment them excellently. A great course whichever 18 you play. Just a shame buggies need to stay on paths. Can’t really see the reason why.
The restaurant is a little limited with options but great quality and reasonable price and staff very friendly.
Resort 30mins from Bendalamena which is a good night out. Could just do with a bar on resort open past 10pm.
Loved it. Will go back.

Played this in July 2024 and it was the worst experience in 10 years of golf on the Costa Del Sol.
We were told by main Pro Shop that we could get Pre Round coffee, and water for the round, near the Cafe near holes 19-27. Trouble was it didn’t open until 11am and we were teeing off before that!
Just about to tee off and a Starter turns up to advise us to let some golfers play first because they need to finish their round. Also advised that buggies must be kept to buggy path because fairways are in bad condition. Great when you have 8 golfers between 55 and 65 and the temperatures are above 90F. One of our golfers is recovering from a Hip Replacement but no leniency was showed for him. We would never have booked this course if we had been advised before. Also no buggies on the course serving drinks and refreshments.
Fairways were in bad condition and the holes were up and down and boring. Holes 1-9 were marginally more interesting. Definitely the worst course I’ve played out there.
We played La Cala and Setanta this trip and the experience there was on another level.

Just returned from a three day break at Lauro. It is a great 27 hole course - holes 1-9 being the best in my opinion, whilst 19-27 are probably a bit more forgiving.
There were six of us and we were given a 4 bed townhouse which was fantastic and overlooked the 4th green, it was very modern with enough bathrooms and space for us all.
We had breakfast included and the restaurant staff could not have been more helpful, the food and service were top notch.
I would definitely go back to Lauro and have no hesitation in recommending it for a golf break.

Played Sunday 1-18 and came back Wednesday and played 10-27. Tee boxes, fairways were great and greens were superb. Staff in the pro shop were great and staff at the bar very friendly and helpful. Course Marshall was very friendly and gave us a couple of tips before we started. My brother has lived in Alhaurin for 7 years and never played it and I booked it for when I visited this week. TRUELY GREAT EXPERIENCE .a huge well done to the grounds staff for delivering a great course. Back over in October and will book again…..

What a beautiful find and golf course.
Course was absolutely fantastic. Mix of different holes including some stunners.
Driving range and putting areas brilliant.
Toilets all the way around and half way house selling food and ice cold beers :).
We were upgraded to a duplex apartment for free which was really smart and close to the golf complex - we looked out to hole 4.
The pool was fab (had to move to the other pool part way through trip due to a cleaning issue but was fine as both pools were spot on and just what you need after 18 holes).
We had a buggy for all 4 days wrapped in which was brilliant value in the end.
The two lovely ladies on reception were attentive and helpful.
Not much to get to torremolinos in an Uber for bars and beach (27 euros). Also nice village 15 mins walk away with a couple of restaurants that do some big lovely steaks for the lads.
We got an Uber from airport day one and stopped off at Lidl on way (en route) for beers and snacks (I recommend this).
All in all an awesome break - we will be back next year for sure. Only gripe was it was a bit too hot in July. Lesson learned for next time! :)

The clubhouse is an old finca, and it has a really charming outdoor place to sit before and after the round of golf.
As with many other courses in Costa del Sol it is quite expensive to play, but not the worst by far.
Lovely location with scenic mountain views and olive plants.
The course layout is good, it is not the most demanding of courses, but still very enjoyable to play.

The golf course itself was very good and offers you various combinations due to having 27 holes. 19 to 27 although very hilly I thought was the easiest, and 10 to 18 the toughest mainly due to its length. My favourite though was 1 to 9. The restaurants on the resort are very different with one offering good quality Spanish menu and the other offering amongst other things fish and chips? - Stick to the main restaurant which although more expensive was better.
My one criticism of the golf course was you had to stick to the paths with buggies, and they don't even allow 90-degree entry to your ball, so my knees were very sore after each round. Forge yourself a disability badge as this allows you to have a flag and drive buggy across fairway - we found this out on our last round.

i here they a have a grocery shop do you know when it opens or shuts and is it well stocked
Written 9 October 2019
There is very little in the shop and struck me to be more like a place to buy presents than groceries eg nicely packaged olives etc and not for bread and milk etc It was open until about 9pm
They offer a free supermarket collection. We ordered beer wine and water by email and it was in the apartment when we arrived and I paid when we checked in. It was cheap.

Does the club house locker room proved towels for showers? Are the available for visitors?

.Guess if you start with your polo tucked in you can relax a bit after the first hole.

No, miles away.
If you are planning to stay at Lauro Golf then it really is a decent taxi ride. Check it on Google Earth,,,,,,,,,I guess there will be an odd bar somewhere local but certainly the club house bar is ok for the 19th but you would not want to spend an evening there.

Good afternoon:
I am afraid that the closer supermarket is 5 minutes away by car, but no walking distance. If you are coming to our apartments you can always write to us and send us your grocery list, everything will be ready in your apartment at arrival.
Best regards,

I have been told that you need a car even to get around the resort, is that true?

Unless you do not want to walk 5 minutes from the apartments to the Club house or to the driving range, I do not think you do
