Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sept 2021 • Business
Where to begin? I was part of a group of 13 hiring A range of Pinarello road bikes in September 2021. We all got our bikes promptly at 9am on the first morning, and were rolling out from Puerto de Pollença about an hour later for a lovely loop taking in Alcuida followed by the spectacular ride out to Cap Formentor.
Day 2 was a ride out to Sa Calabria, followed by Puig Major for those who still had it in their legs. Unfortunately for me, early in the Sa Calabria climb, my rear mech got too cosy with the back wheel, and the whole thing broke, sheared off at the rear mech hanger. I found the number for the bike shop, and called the number, more out of hope than anything else, but Manuel picked up and immediately understood the situation. He told me that someone was in the area, and I would receive a call in the next 10 minutes or so. Sure enough, Pep called me, and said he was on his way to find me. Ten minutes later, Pep appeared, and collected me and the bike, taking me to Lluc, where the bike would be fixed. It turned out the the reason we needed to go to Allie was because Pep was actually supporting a tour involving Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie and other legends of cycling and other sports..
My bike was fixed, and Phil, the owner of Pinarello Experience, invited me for lunch to make up for my spoiled ride. After a spag bol and a coffee, I met Wimbledon winner Richard Krajicek and cycling hero Jan Ulrich.
As I started to head back down the mountain I bumped into George Hincapie, who was happy to chat and even let me tag onto his wheel for a couple of weeks hundred metres up a climb, until I ran out of puff and waved him off.
Back at base, I went to the Pinarello shop, Phil had asked his lovely wife Jackie to give me €100 credit to make up for my ‘spoiled’ ride, which was just enough to buy a lovely race jersey, and a cycling cap.
That evening, the 13 of us wannabe cycling happened to be booked into the same restaurant (Tolo’s), that Phil, Jackie, Manuel, Pep, Lance, George etc. etc. we’re all eating in. Cue the most wonderful evening of fist bumps, selfies and laughter, as I thanked the Pinarello team profusely, and they treated us to nicer wine than they deserved. Lance didn’t fancy mingling with us, but fair enough - we still had an unexpected but entertaining time.
Jackie and Phil’s attitude throughout the whole thing cannot be faulted. They were wonderful.
Now obviously, if the slightest thing goes wrong when you’re hiring with Pinarello Experience, I can’t guarantee that you’ll get quite the experience I had, but the whole team are genuinely lovely, and will do whatever they can to ensure that you are having a great time.

You wanted an outstanding ride?
Something better than the usual?
This is your place.
Great comms, easy process, super product, simple pick-up, let’s go!
You get the ride you’ve paid for; which for me was pin-sharp handling, crisp-shifting and progressive, secure braking. Plus the look of a Dogma!

Straight forward process to hire the bikes, simple collection and drop off and great staff. I ended up with 3 punctures over two days, they gave me new inners for free, can’t complain really. Would definitely use them again.

Hired the pinarello x and was looking forward to riding a pinarello as I have a cervelo at home. Slow heavy bike and completely unsuitable for climbing. Would not recommend. The shop assistant said the same thing when I took the bike back and said the f7 was a better climbing bike. Be careful what you hire.

Had the misfortune of running into the receptionist who claimed to be the owner of their Port de Pollenca dispatch store who is the rudest man I’ve ever met!!! Pinarello should consider removing its franchise from him as I will never hire another bike after dealing with this old guy. What a terrible example he presented to a customer making a genuine enquiry. Avoid like the plague!! There are much better options for hire in the town albeit with different manufacturers

Rude and aggressive man when I tried to hire a pair of wheels for a friend who'd broken theirs. Basically chased out of the shop. Every other shop I went to afterwards were much more friendly and I preferred to take my business elsewhere. Went to Sventy Triathlon bikes who were extremely helpful instead.

Had a great Pinarello GAAN and the service was outstanding. Even thought about buying the bike. Changed my saddle as it didn't work for me and offered to take me to Pollenca by cab as the Alcudia store was closed. Will be back in October or next year for sure.

Service was rude and suggested us the 2 cheapest bikes bc we didn't looked professional. On the way right side pedal broke so we had to return half way to the store by foot. And on website everything was in Euro, but in the end they charged me in British pounds, which is more than Euro. See enclosed receipt.

Hi
3 of us are looking to hire road bikes for 3 days in October. However, we are taking part on an organised ride on our first full day there. Are we able to pick bikes up on the evening of our arrival without incurring extra cost. That is pick them up on a Wednesday evening and return them on the following Saturday afternoon and pay for 3 days hire and not 4?
Thanks in anticipation

You will need to email them directly and ask what they can offer but you can only pick up and drop off during shop opening hours.

Just booked bike hire with Pinarello Experience....can anyone tell me if they hire locks or should i bring my own? Cheers

Hello, Thank you Nick for your assitance. We always suggest to have the bike close by at coffee stops and locked up at the hotel. Many hotels do provide a secure area to lock bikes. Always best to check beforehand and if not to bring a lock with you. Thank you for booking with us.

Hello Andrew,
I apologise for the delay. I just recently set up a account and now receive notifications. You can take a look at our website that includes all models and prices. We don't have half day rates.
