The ruins of the castle is in a spectacular part of the coastline and it is clear to see why the Norman’s would have built this fortress here. Although small, quite a lot has been preserved and will take a good 30-45 minuted to take...More

We visited the Norman Castle on a Sunday, at about 10. Castle is situated in a quaint quiet village, which contrasts the chaotic Catania. Castle is very well maintained and situated in a picturesque location. Not pricey at all...Eur3 per person, and although it could...More

This castle is rather unique and offers beautiful views, the water is clear blue and the guy taking care of the entrance, tickets etc is an incredibly nice person and this added to our visit there a lot more.

A cool castle right on the sea, good to walk around and explore for an hour or so. Great views of the sea, and a little mini museum of some artifacts.

A real Norman castle in Sicily. What a surprise and treat to explore, even in the rain. The main challenge in Aci Castello is the parking - we pulled in to a car park but were told that it was closing at 14.00!!!

Beautiful area with this Norman castle perched on a rock above the sea with brilliant views over the sea and town. Not a lot to see but worth a call for the views and cafes in the square at the base selling some great sicilian...More
