We made the effort, along with many more people, to climb the hill near the viaduct so that we could see the Jacobite Steam Train traverse the viaduct and the view was terrific. The train slows down a little to give people a chance to...More

One of the treats of the visit was firstly travelling over the viaduct by steam train and then looking at the structure from the monument. Unbelievable on how it was constructed.

In one direction, you see the viaduct, and in the other you see a lovely loch and monument for Bonnie Prince Charlie. It's a really nice stop for these reasons. The walk up to the best view of the Harry Potter train is a little...More

A Spectacular place to see. We had just missed the train going over the bridge, but the bridge itself is magnificent to look at. The area is out right crazy around the time of the train, so if you want to see the train pass...More

Despite the hype, it was quite an impressive sight! And then we got to see the train go over it! Well worth viewing and hiking to. You can even see it from the edge of the parking lot to the Glenfinnan Memorial.

Simply magical. The view is the best. Make sure you arrive in time (we were there around 40 minutes before) so you can find a parking spot and a spot to view.

Tranquil and stunning with the Scottish Highlands as a backdrop. Unfortunately a little busier these days since being featured in Harry Potter

Yes , we took the local train from Fort William to Mallaig and that does exactly the same journey as the Jacobite steam train and goes over the Glenfinnan viaduct.
