This experience was really amazing. We spontaneously went for a introduction dive (our first time ever diving) with our dive master Sephus - just the most professional, collected and friendly guy. We liked the experience so much that we decided to go for the the PADI open water certification the very next day with the same dive master. Needless to say, this was the highlight of our vacation and can only recommend it!
The folks at Alona Divers are all pros but also accommodating to your needs. Sephus is not only a very good and patient instructor, but also great at pointing out cute marine life and helping us take pictures and videos during the dives. Special thanks to instructor Jun too!

An absolutely incredible dive shop. The shop is strictly Filipino owned and run. I completed my PADI Open Water with my incredible instructor, Victor.
Victor is an extremely experienced (has been diving for 23 years!) knowledgeable, encouraging, and friendly diver. He really knows his stuff, is very calm and collected and subsequently teaches the same in his students underwater. He also has an amazing eye for file fish! And other well-camouflaged marine creatures!
The reefs around Alona Beach are absolutely beautiful and teeming with life.
The divers here are extremely attentive, helpful, and professional but simultaneously warm and fun whilst being continually mindful of all safety aspects of diving.
Lastly, Joey, the owner of the shop is incredibly hard-working, kind, and generous. Joey and Victor were both very willing to give me an amazing insight into Filipino culture which was in and of itself unforgettable.
I had an truly unforgettable experience with Alona Divers and thank all of the amazing staff for the memories, the fun, as well as the experience and the knowledge I have gained in the couple of days I was lucky enough to spend with Alona Divers.

Highly recommend!! I enjoyed 2 full days of the in-person Open Water Diving Certification with Victor as my wonderful instructor! I worked with the Alona team (Joey) to complete my e-learning ahead of time so that I could make the most out of my time there in person! Victor was incredible at teaching the skills needed and ensuring I fully understood before moving on to the next! He also was very knowledgeable on the under water sea life and we were able to see a lot during our 4 dives (including sea turtles, nudibranchs, eels, shrimp, and crabs!) I want to come back one day and do my Advanced! Thank you Victor and the entire Alone Beach team for your kindness and support!

This is my Nth time with Alona Divers. Their location is perfect which is right by Alona Beach.
The team, as always, well experienced and knowledgeable which makes the dive trips fun and safe.
Better to book in advance if planning to dive Balicasag Island.

It was my first time for diving. I made open water certificate and several times for fun diving. There are only good people with so much experience and special skills, I had a easy and comfortable time to enjoy my first diving. You dont have to afraid of diving or even language. there are koreans, Chinese, local people, and all good at speaking english. don’t hesitate to join it. this is the most fun and happy time i’ve ever had during many tours!!

My 3rd trip to Alona Beach and my 3rd tour with Alona Divers over the last 3 years. My first time Feb/March of 2020, Alona Divers certified my Open Water and advance with the legendary Dive Master, Vicente Navaja and recently certified Advance and Nitrox via Padi. I’ve logged my last 18 dives with Alona Divers. They do it right. All starts with the amazing staff at Alona Divers. I had most of my dives with PJ Liquit. What can I say, PJ was the best with the pre-dives and enhancing the diving experience this island has to offer. Joey Jayme, who runs Alona Divers, brought together the best offering a variety of dive locations like Balicasag Island and Pamilacan Island. Recently I had the opportunity to experience Momo Beach. End your day of diving with spending the evenings along the cozy beach community of Alona Beach. Alona Divers treat you like family. You will feel like you're home. Why couldn't you want to go back, I surely do when I'm in the Philippines.

We went to Alona Beach, Panglao for a dive trip with friends. Dive Master PJ Liquit and Shop Owner Joey Jayme took excellent care of our group. The dive sites at Balicasag and Pamilacan Islands awesome and the guide was knowledgeable.
The equipment rented was very good quality and at a reasonable price. We will return again to dive with Alona Divers.
Be prepared to see turtles, sea snakes and of course the Jackfish school!

Expect 25-30 USD / dive, depends where you go. The nearby dives are cheaper than going to Balicasag islands (50 mn away). You should be able to negotiate a package discount if you dive for a few days.
