We visited with a teenager, a 10 year old and a baby and all had a great time. The animals are fantastic with many having been saved from horrific situations. A particular highlight was watching the chimpanzees playing some kind of game of chase, which...More

The sanctuary is a converted cottage with cages and pathways in the surrounding area. It costs £8.50 for adults and you'll get about 60-90 minutes out of it. I don't agree with keeping animals in cages but reading some of the stories about them, it...More

Visited with our grandchildren. Although they enjoyed the visit to see all the rescued animals it was sad to know what they have been through. Thank you to all involved for rescuing them. Small cafe area and shop.

Found this place after visiting the nearby waterfalls. What a lovely place. The animals appear well cared for with decent sized cages. Loved the chimps. Not a zoo but a sanctuary and as you read the notices for each animal as to how the got...More

Visited yesterday, 28/5/2018 and had mixed emotions but NOT because of the place but because of the stories of the animals. It is not flash and it is home-made but can you imagine what it costs in vet bills alone for these animals? let alone...More
