We have enjoyed our visits previously and recommended the zoo to others because of its collection Primates. However we feel the zoo was more interested in children’s play areas, fast food outlets and picnic tables than investing in better animal enclosures. We had an online...More

It's not the best zoo I've been to. The animal enclosures are not big enough for the animals. some of the animals don't seem to be happy. They do hold talks throughout the day but some of the displays are hard for young children to...More

Lots of animals, especially monkeys, to see although unfortunately the elephants were not there when we visited. There are a number of places to eat or picnic areas if you have brought your own food. Worth a visit for a day.

Booking in advance saves 2 pound off entry. Was quiet when we went as raining all day. Lots to see and do and great that they specialise in primates. Would go again in better weather.

There are a lot of things to like about this zoo, there is a very good range of animals, and from what we could see, they generally seemed to be very happy and exhibiting normal behaviour, which is always great to see. Some of the...More

First of all, I would say that we got tickets as part of a hotel spa coupon deal, so didn’t actually pay for them directly. Access to the car parking was good. Well staffed. Well directed. Plenty of spaces near to the zoo. Well organised...More
