Lovely, secluded beach. Fine sand; good for walking. Water was quite cold and it was windy but we still enjoyed the place. Views are beautiful; caves, wild nature, birds and on top of the cliff there is a pictures train passing by from time to...More

Gorgeous beach, very family friendly, no dogs, a small car park at the bottom of a very steep hill, not good for anyone with mobility issues.

Lovely quiet beach (although we did go around 4 in the afternoon). Small car park which isn't free so best to park elsewhere. The water is clean and the sand is golden like most of the beaches in around St Ives. The path down is...More

The beach is very nice but the access involves high hills that might not be very comfortable when travelling with children ore limited mobility.

Been to lots of beaches in Cornwall. But this has easily been the cleanest, quaintest and great for watching the world go by!

Think the previous answers are correct. However be aware that when we visited there was a huge amount of building work going on.
Hi, how disruptive were the building works at Carbis Bay Hotel? We are not staying at the hotel but will be staying in a house in Carbis Bay and had hoped to spend many hours at the beach. Is the whole beach affected? If we stay to one or other side of Carbis Bay will we be affected by the noise?

The hotel is at the end of the beach where the work is as well so if your house is at the far end you should be ok. Also the beach is very long.

A few places to drink in Carbis or one stop on the train to St Ives for loads of choice. There is a beach bar and restaurant but it is very pricey due to the location. Dog friendly pub is (I think) The Badger.
