Antiques and memorabilia from bygone days!
Jun 2019 • Couples
The Antiques Arcade is a must if you are visiting the town of Lechlade. The arcade houses a fascinating collection of items for sale. Peruse the aisles of the arcade and discover bygone days. I'm sure you'll find an item or two that will bring back memories and a smile. You might even come across something you've been looking for ... Happy perusing!

Pricey

The old sight was a real experience, now sadly closed. The "new" shop is well stocked (although the one next door always seems closed). The main down side is the prices. If you want a bargain, this may not be your place to go.

A treasure trove

I went in whilst waiting for a friend and got lost in the fascinating collection of just about everything on display. I went in on the off chance seeking a particular item and the gentleman could not have been more helpful or friendly

Scruffy, but now closed down

We visit Lechlade a lot being as our son lives close by. We visited the centre just because it was there, not that we would make a trip there. The centre needs a good clear out out of all the dusty junk. Prices were high and not in line with the present price trend. Staff were always pre-occupied with other menial things and not very polite, everything was a chore. Alas! it as now closed down.

So glad the place is still going - even if it has moved a few doors up!

I love browsing around this shop, it is a charming building and has a great range of items. They also have a cafe next door which is reasonably priced and has the same charm about it. Definitely worth a visit and I rarely leave without making a purchase (however big or small).

High Prices but Electic Range of Items

This is a small friendly centre but you have to look hard to find a bargain and there isn't much movement ion the marked prices. Worth a visit.

Staff a bit busy fawning over some guy's dog

Popped in to browse and there's certainly a lot to see. But overall the place is a bit stuffy really and it wasn't helped that when I walked in with my Mum the two women behind the counter were too busy fawning over some elderly gentleman's puppy to acknowledge us. Ok, it's a cute puppy so fine, that's ok but when my Mum walked past and said "oooohhhhh, is he for sale?" [the puppy] said elderly gentleman replied how she wasn't to touch him (and not in a jocular manner either) which the staff seemed to support wholeheartedly. We looked around briefly and left (with our wallets unopened - and I LOVE an antique). So we probably wouldn't go back and we do spend time in the area.

Wasted Antiques
May 2014 • Friends
Last time I entered this store was the very last time. It was a total fire and hazard area. The owners had allowed each antique lease holder to spill over into the walk way to such an extent it was dangerous just to walk round the store. I highlighted the problems to the resident manager. The end result is that this store is now closed, building up for sale. Quite a loss really I have spent many hours searching out antiques in the store. It will me missed.
