Went beginning of March, as usual Charlotte was welcoming and helpful. I fished Bushyleaze on a 3 fish ticket and had a good morning with only one 2.7lb but what a fight it gave me.

Fished recently at Lechlade . We did catch a couple of fish between us but they had fins missing and looked very poor quality fish. as we were leaveing the manager was out in the boat chucking pellets over the side as he went over to feed the chickens on the island. We went to try and catch a double... More

Haven't been to Lechlade for years but had a lunchtime meeting in area so planned an early half day ticket start. Fished from 0800 - 1200. Boat fishers seemed to be bagging up. Almost last cast and hooked a 7+lb rainbow. Full fins and fought well. Nice venue but not cheap. Toilet facilities in gutting area are very poor. Not... More

I normally visit Lechlade 3 or 4 times a year, generally in the Dec - Feb period when the bigger fish are stocked.I visited last week with 3 friends anticipating a great days fishing. However, whilst we all caught our bag limits the quality and size of the fish were very disappointing.I have become used to catching Lechlade rainbows with virtually... £60 for a day's fishing is on a par with a Scotch salmon river - with no limitations. Maybe there are some big fish - maybe - didn't see any being caught. We didn't fish because of the price. The gutting room was FILTHY. Glad we didn't try the toilets. We will not be returning.

First time I went to Lechlade in 2003 I was impressed. There were plenty of trout and most anglers were catching their quota. Next time I visited in 2014 not a single fish was landed by anyone fishing. Just visited in May 2015 and it was the same story. The evidence of trout activity was low and only two fish... More

Bushyleaze complex is very scenic fly fishing venue which offers a reasonable days sport. The tackle shop staff are friendly and offer plenty of advice (so is the resident pooch). The lodge is pretty rough and unwelcoming and the toilets disgusting otherwise I would have scored this a four.
