Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped off here on our way down to southern Germany on a recent Saturday. We parked on the street outside the Outlet stores and paid a modest parking fee. Within 2 minutes we were in the main part of the outdoor "mall" trying to decide whether to hit the Haribo, Lindt or Ravensburger stores first. We spent just over a couple of hours there and enjoyed the chance to search for good quality bargains.
I liked the fact that we only needed to wear face coverings in the stores themselves, some of which had a short queuing time to restrict the number of customers in at any one time. There are a few places to grab coffee, snacks etc. and good, clean toilets.
All in all, we were pleased that we stopped by.

Small and nice outlet! There are not too much stores here and some brands might be missing but parking is free of admission and it is not that much of a stretch of you are on the Autobahn so a great pit stop to see and stop by.
Pretty great designed but the deals haven’t been that great ... but that always depends on the visit.
So yes due to the fact that it is so close to the road I will come back again.

You can find great discounts and it is nice and modern, anyway, the variety of shops, restaurants and brands is way too little. If only it had more shops, it would be great. Not worth it to go if you are far from there.

Many of those outlet destinations in Europe are great to visit, but what makes Montabaur different is the fact of the design of the outlet shops, making sure that there is maximum enjoyment on the layout, shop location, better & more choice of restaurants. The outlets offer real bargains compared to the other destinations. Free four hour car park and plentiful space. We enjoyed our time.

There you will find some shops that rather are not nice, too posh or you never heard of them.
Some basics shops are missing there: zara, h&m, pull&bear and a long list more.
I have gone few times and just once I bought something.
If you are passing by don’t waste your time going there. If you leave around go to Koblenz better.

The outlet is a bit smaller compare to other outlets I’ve visited. Nevertheless, the choice of shops are quite good. From sport to fashion to kitchen stuffs. There are 3 places to eat or having snacks. Ravensburger has their shop there. Inside, there is a little playground for the kids. Free parking for 4 hours -which I guess more than enough time to visit-. I’d still insert the parking ticket to the vending machine before going back to the car though, just to make sure the parking ticket is “clear”.

We had a quite good time here at the Outlet.
Prices are ok, but sizes are not so often right, so you cannot be sure to find something that fits - which can be annoying.
Parking is for free up to 4 hours - make sure to still put card in machine before leaving, even if within the 4 hours.

Given that the Germans next to the Dutch are well known for their logistics this outlet mall is a nice crossover between design, shopping and hospitality. From the information to parking and the clean streets and saftey measures, this mall is highly recommanded. Good sales offers, nice diversity of shops and more then the usual brands you’ll find in outlet malls around the world. So. On the list! For sure.

The day trip from Frankfurt was rather disappointing.
The mall itself is "nice" but it simply lacks the critical mass for real bargain hunters.
Parking is free for the first 4 hours and I'd be surprised if anyone needs more.
Most of the stores seemed to only have either sizes XS or S or, occasionally XL and above. And a polo shirt at the outlet price of €50 isn't a bargain, certainly not compared to internet prices.
The 3 restaurants were nothing special, fairly expensive and had little understanding or appreciation for food allergies. Not even lactose-free milk for a coffee.
It was clear the whole event was rather "provincial" and perhaps only worth a stopover if passing-by and one is particularly interested in or or the other brands (check beforehand). There are other outlet malls in Germany the have at least more charm, if not better deals.
