This was a beautiful place to watch the sunset at the end of the day. There are many places to eat in the area and there is even a nice ice cream place nearby to grab some.

Very popular with locals. There are daily soccer games, both adult and children's leagues. Watch the surfers time their jump over the rocks to avoid the crashing waves. Then watch them swim out to ride the waves. There is a cove that is protected for...More

Somewhat disappointed by this beach. Although it was worth getting to it as the driving on Easter Island is very spectacular, Playa Pea Beach was not my favourite of the beaches I went to visit on the island.

Stopped by this place for a few minutes last week and enjoyed the views all around. That being said, this is barely a beach in my opinion as it is slowly regenerating. Nice place to chill and watch the surfers.

Although officially Easter Island only has two beaches - Anakena and Ovahe one could argue Playa Pea should also be included. It is located on the western side of Hanga Roa, near the port and soccer field. It features a small bay with a very...More
