We’d heard lots of great things about here so thought we’d give it a go, for 4 of us the tickets were £50+, staff were friendly & advised us well. We thought we’d start outside, although it was a sunny day, it had rained the days before so outside was basically a bog. I went to read one of the egg celebrities & ended up filthy! The mole hills were a no go to play on either - this obviously is a weather issue rather than the company but they could of had things in place so you could get to the eggs without walking through a bog!! The inside play area was a big hit for our 2 children & we spent most of our time here in there. We had food at the pizzeria - 4 meals & a drink each another £50+, the food was yum so no arguments there! Then 4x Ice creams £15 - however very tasty again! £25 for 2x build a bears, the kids enjoyed it & again the staff member was lovely. Overall the kids had fun, we spent about 2/3hrs here but did find it expensive. Me & the husband didn’t take part in anything other than food but our ticket price was the same as the kids!!

    Great place in the summer!
Travelled an hour to come and visit, it was raining the whole day so couldn’t go outside much as we got soaked! Stayed in the play area the children loved it but was getting abit bored after 2 hours. No prams allowed so was having to carry my 5month and sit on wooden benches which was a nightmare when breastfeeding as wasn’t comfortable at all. I do think cushions or bean bags maybe. The views were amazing and loads of car park spaces. Half of the water wasn’t working inside so was a-bit disappointing as the children we’re looking forward to that. It would be a great place to go in the summer but there is no good seating or shaded areas outside either. Bought bucket and spade and broke within half an hour so i wouldn’t recommend buying. It’s definitely more for older children than younger ones. Its a great place but wouldn’t recommend on rainy days as not worth the money. It is a great little place but maybe expected more for my money but We will be coming back when the sun is out.

    Entrance Fee too much
I have loved to bring my Grandchildren here and they enjoy it every time but I really think it’s too expensive now with Adults paying, even my carer is £9.95 and before anyone says adults can go on equipment, unfortunately I cannot due to disability and mobility issues, meaning I paying to sit on a hard bench or cafe area, we always buy the food and drinks, use the shop and that alone should be enough, Web Adventure near York have rides for adults to actually go on with their children which use some form of electricity, I don’t see anything at the Den been powered to raise such a high adult entrance fee, a trip here would set us back over £100 and at the end of the day you are just a park in a field like East Park or other parks, no animals either to see. Maybe consider getting a splash pad for warmer days like at Normanby Hall. People in wheelchairs or mobility issues with a carer should be free.

Good for kids but too expensive for adults.
It's brilliant for the kids but entrance price for an adult is expensive. Basically we are there to supervise our kids and not really go on the equipment. I think the zip wire area needs to be fenced off because it is quite easy for a child or adult to walk across the area while someone is coming down the line.

Great for children of all ages with lots of natural activities inside and out. Plenty of outside space and the restaurant looked good.

My husband took our 2 children to Williams Den. I stayed home because they charge almost full price for each adult. This in itself is a terrible business model as it splits families up as we couldn't justify adding over ÂŁ20 just to supervise out own children. Their website shows a list of prices and says that you can save ÂŁ3pp if you book online (but not on the same day). As my family were going the same day we chose to pay on the door, at which point they charged an additional ÂŁ3pp on top of the advertised prices! The website isn't clear as it suggests booking online would reduce the advertised fee, not add further money on at the door. It's shameful that a business penalises customers who show up at their door. Absolutely no way will we ever return. If Williams Den wants repeat custom, they need to seriously reconsider their pricing model and advertising. It's a great shame as it has the potential to be a frequent day out for families but I suspect very few people ever return.

This is an expensive day out for regular families on a budget. Plus if you decide to turn up on the day, because you might want to check the weather and decide at short notice, you will be additionally punished with a ÂŁ3 per person levy. This is not explained on the web page and it feels like a stealth tax. We have avoided coming here for a couple of years, as it is one of the most expensive family days out. Will be avoiding it again for a while as we are leaving with a bad taste of this experience. Despite explaining to the manager the failings of the website to properly explain this levy, he arrogantly stated that no one else has raised this. Maybe they just leave and don't come back?? It is much quieter here than it used to be years ago, so maybe this is more telling than lack of verbal feedback??

AMAZING!!! What can I say. We had the best time at Williams Den. Seems like a little hidden gem. Thank you to all the staff that made our little camping trip the best! The camp site warden is just superb, so friendly and always making sure everyone is ok and all is in order. The campfire on Saturday night with marshmallows and all the families around was just gorgeous! The restaurant is definitely one of the best we have been to on a camp site for sure. The pizzas were unreal, freshly made in front of you by 'Marcel' if I remember his name correctly and his little pottery giftware was also available to purchase by the cakes, i bought a few, they are so quirky and just gorgeous. We booked a 2 night stay for ÂŁ165 for a family of 5 (3 adults, 2 children age 7 & 1), which included entrance to the amazing adventure park indoor and out. The outdoor showers on the campsite, were an experience, which I personally loved, spotless, as was the toilet block. We will definitely be returning and have recommended this beautiful place to lots of friends and family. We also had lunch before we left, food was so gorgeous, genuinely we were sorry to leave. Thank you all at Williams Den for making our last minute trip the best xx

We camped here for 1 night mid august 2023. We didnt arrive on site until 3pm after a 3 hour drive and it closed at 5pm.
The pizza restaurant was open and we did go here for food which was okay and nothing worth revisiting for.
We were charged ÂŁ45 for 1 night camping which is very expensive for an empty field with no electric hookup and basic mobile toilet and make shift shower facilities.
I miss read when ordering and thought the ÂŁ45 included access to the glorified kids climbing frame. However I was wrong and they wanted a furher ÂŁ50+ for access my 3 & 6 year old this includes ÂŁ30~ for me and my wife to enter to supervise the kids!!! Absolutely insane and we didn't pay it. We packed up and left at 10am the next morning and headed to out next camp site early.
I will not be returning and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

William's Den is brilliant! We are a family of four - our sons are 7 and nearly 3yrs and we all had an amazing day when we visited this week whilst on our summer holiday in East Yorkshire.

I'll admit that initially I was a bit skeptical due to the entry fees being higher then I wanted to spend (the four of us cost ÂŁ58 and that was because we were able to still get an under 3yrs ticket for my youngest) but by the end of the day I would say it is definitely good value for money. We were one of the first families to arrive and leave! We loved the indoor playing area and spent at least three hours in there over the course of the day. Luckily we visited on a dry and sunny day so we were able to make full use of the outdoor fun: den making, zip wires, hay bale frivolity, outdoor climbing/tubes, go karts/ride ons, outdoor play area & sandpit, mud kitchen and my boys favourite section, the skate and scooter ramps. This area was well managed by staff and I love that safety equipment is standard and that it was policed fairly but still had a relaxed feel. The karts weren't manned though which did mean we had to wait upwards of 10-15 minute's sometimes as there was only four and not everyone manages well with turn taking at times but that's not a fault of the establishment.

We took our own food to keep costs down so I cannot comment on the food or pricing of this but we did get a brew each and it was about average price (ÂŁ5.50 for two drinks). There was plenty of decent outdoor seating for lunch to be had and areas for picnic blankets too.

The toilets were clean, tidy and plentiful. I really liked the parent and child in one bigger cubicle toilets too.

We did bypass the gift shop much to the disappointment of the boys but we'd reached our budget for the day by that point.

All the staff were approachable and seemed genuinely interested in interacting with the children. My youngest particularly loved meeting Giant William too and I loved that staff offered free fun like a water fight on the hay bales although my two were too embroiled in den making to take part.

Both my boys keep asking when can we come back to Williams Den so we are absolutely adding it to our list of places to come back to. Great day out! I am not sure if my fair weathered children would enjoy it as much in the rain but with the right outdoor gear I bet you could have as good a time in less than ideal weather conditions.
