We went here with our 4 year old. Whilst a lot of the science was beyond her understanding she still loved trying out all the experiments. Cafe good value but limited menu. It was a hot weekend but was not busy, thoroughly recommend.

Used to come here frequently many years ago to visit castle and gardens but the observatory wasn’t open to public. The interactive science exhibition was interesting and fun. Small cafe but loved that they used cups that had been made from recycled materials and compostable....More

Usual opening hours are 10 am to 6 pm from April to September 10 am to 5 pm at other times. There is a close period for maintenance between the end of December and Mid January

Not entirely sure of opening times for January but we went with children aged from 18 months to 10. Probably not ideal for the youngest child but all the others (5-10) had the best time ever! As did the adults - tons to see... More
