Mellett's Emporium is an original "Old Worlde Bar" that has been in the Mellett Family since 1797 and the pub is steeped in 220 years of history. Although there have been many changes to the business since it first opened i.E. You can no longer purchase groceries, arrange your funeral or book your boat to America, the pub still retains its original character. On display in the pub is a vast collection of antiques and memorabilia which have been amassed since opening our doors in 1797. Everybody is welcome at Mellett's Emporium where you can relax in front of the roaring fire, watch a match on one of the big screens or enjoy a drink 'al fresco' in the large beer garden and smoking area. Customers can avail of free WIFI and card payments are accepted. Mellett's Newsagency, next door to Mellett's Emporium, is also a Bord Failte approved Visitor Information Point. We provide information on local attractions, activities and events and with a broad knowledge of the locality we can assist you in every area while you visit County Mayo.

Loved this bar. Great beer and crac. Even on a Sunday night it was rocking. Locals were very friendly. Love to be there on a live band night.

Built in 1797, this pub has all the charm one would expect from a rural Irish pub, plus a huge flat screen tv for watching sporting events . We were clearly the only tourists in the place. Friendly locals, good cold beer on tap.

Great pub with friendly staff. Full of history and stories. Antiques are on display all over the pub. Roasting log fires in cold weather. Great selection of drinks. Spotless toilets.
