Our trip was on a Sunday in September . The weather was lovely we travelled a long way in the rib. The boat skipper was on his own - I did wonder if normally there would be a guide as well? He made the journey as smooth as possible. The scenery was amazing but unfortunately there wasn’t much wildlife to see. I understand that happens but did feel the skipper could have given more information about the scenery or geology of the cliffs and islands. Or indeed about the wildlife we did see like the differences between the 2 types of seals. This would have added interest to the trip. We didn’t see any eagles which was our main hope from the trip.

A great way to see local wildlife and see Skye & close-by islands in the area. Whilst we sadly didn’t spot any Dolphins, we did see plenty of Seals, sea birds & a couple of Porpoises. It’s an open air boat, so wear warm & possibly waterproof clothes.

Had a fantastic experience on our boat trip. After bad weather had meant we couldn’t go out on the Thursday as planned, it was easily moved to the Friday instead. When we arrived we were given some buoyancy aids to put on and offered some overalls (even though we already had 7 layers on knowing from past experiences just how cold it is on boats). The boat itself was great fun, fairly fast but nothing scary, didn’t make us feel sea sick at all because of the way it shoots across the water. We saw eagles and went into the mouths of some caves which had amazing blue water. Then we were so lucky to see dolphins ! We went closer and we’re suddenly surrounded by about 50 of them swimming so close to the boat it was absolutely amazing ! Would highly recommend this boat tour, great fun, friendly, well informed, it was the perfect end to our holiday. Just make sure to wrap up warm !

This boat trip was one of the highlights of our stay on Skye. You're taken out to sea on a speedy Rib style boat, stopping off to visit some of the wildlife on the way. We were lucky enough to sea a Sea hawk and her chick and a Seal colony. We also spent quite a long time out in the ocean with some really lively dolphins. They happily swam next to the boat treating us to some acrobatics. This was the first time i've seen dolphins in their natural habitat so close-up. It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this trip. Make sure you take you wrap up warm as it can get a bit chilly when speeding out into the ocean. Great fun!
