I would strongly recommend a visit to Blackrock Park, it’s really looking great these days. The local community clearly put a lot of effort and pride into their park. It’s great for the kids too.

Blackrock Park doesn't look like the attached photograph. It has an amphitheatre with an island stage which has not been used for years. There is a (recently renovated) bandstand which is rarely used even in the summer. The pond is attractive with swans, seagulls and...More

It is regrettable that this fantastic facility is neglected. The Victorian infrastructure inherited by the local authority is slowly but surely disintegrating. The band stand should be restored as a starting point.
