Although its two ferries and a drive to get there, Briar Island offers something for everyone, shopping, hiking, whale watching and peace.

We come to Brier Island every second year and we still find new things. The people are wonderful. Its a small Island that is a must see if you are coming to Nova Scotia.

I think it would be very difficult and expensive to get there with public transportation. You will really need a car.
