Beautiful meander around the reservoir, finally stopping at the dam to take in the views. Highly enjoyable, recommended trip for those who like a peaceful stop and start journey.

We love this place! So beautiful in the summer ( when we went). I hope to return this summer. We managed to find a lovely quiet spot onto the water and had a lovely home made picnic in the sun.

Wild, Beautiful, Quiet. Amazing views. This was a highlight of our trip to Mid Wales, you truly feel as if you are the only people on earth; this area is so unspoilt.

Found this by chance . Turned out to be the largest clay dam in the world according to Wikipedia. . The lake was stunning. And seemed endless. Even bigger than the Ellan Valley reservoirs.
