Cute authentic beach

Best beach to stay during the day. Water quite warm, on the right shore good snorkeling , many turtles to see.

Wekkends fully packed! Prefer to stay during the week

Good for family

Good beach. Parking near the place (be careful when cross the road). Many options of food served in the sand. Try the delicious fish plates and the cold refreshing beers. Medium prices. Medium waves at times. Relax!

Beautiful but dirty

The beach and the landscape is so beautiful. However the users are so impolite giving away their waste and destroying the beach and the entire ecosystem. As a Brazilian I am very disappointed.
But, I still recommend the beach in non-vacation seasons, as the number of visitants and waste is lower.

A beautiful beach

In Rio de Janeiro this beach is a tropical paradise, the water is crystalline and blue but cold. It's ideal for kids because don't have lots of waves , a beautiful landscape for photos. It was an excellent vacation.

Nice Place but.....

We went here two years ago and has a great time... we went back this year and the first impression was definitely not as good as we remembered. There is a lots of trash everywhere: on the beach, on the road beneath it, and it smells like crazy. Hope in the next days get better....

Very famous beach, beautiful.

Beautiful clean beach. I took a bus from Cafo Frio to the Prainha. About $2 one way. The bus left us right by the hill. The scenery on the bus was beautiful

warm water

Small beach but really good beach with warm water. A lot of places to eat so just find out where is the cheapers before seating down at a table on the beach

Great beach - need transport to go there....

We took a taxi from the hotel to the beach and arrived at 10 am. = almost empty. You can rent umbrella and chairs and a lot of people offer you something to eat and drink, so you don't need to bring yourself.

Beach area is wide and with soft sand and the sea is great...

To access to the beach from the road you need to use the stairs and it takes some minutes. For some they are even steep, but then make a break....because it is worth the small effort.

Highly recommendable.

Beautiful beach for locals

The beach was beautiful and had calm waters, there are restaurants with umbrellas and small tables right on the beach - we got a couple drinks and spent all day there twice, very affordable. Pretty much tourists around either, only locals. People still walk around and sell things like corn, acai, etc. but they’re not that many and they’re not annoying- loved having a cup of Acai there actually

White sand

Excelent place to spend a day with the family. Beatifull Beach with white sand and blue sea. You have to visit it.
