A small lighthouse sitting lonely just above the ocean. This spot offers such a great view of the water, mountains, the Muroran city, a perfect spot for a photo op. The viewing platform is a short uphill walk from the car park.

It is a place to make pictures with a nice view if not foggy! You can drive there, if you like walking it should not be to far from the city!

If you like to take photos, it's the place for you!! You might need a car to go there like I did. The road to up there is narrow sometimes but the view is excellent!!

The city provided a hop-on-hop-off bus for our cruise ship visit. This was one of the stops - worth hopping off here, walking up the stairs for a lovely view of surrounding cliffs, ocean and lighthouse.

I visited during sunset. Very romantic and man people. Twilight time is best for photo. Blue sky with light house. Amazing

This place is definitely recommended if you are traveling to hokkaido. The scenery and history light house is awesome. Also, great for biking along the coast line.

Upon disembarkation from our cruise ship, we tried the circular "city bus" transportation means, may be provided by the cruise agent here, to explore different parts of the city. Cape Chikyu was one of the "must see" tourist spot while travelling in Muroran. When you...More
