This a typically British attraction - not very high-tech, not large-scale and set in basic accommodation but steeped in history. Thoroughly enjoyed the excellent and fact-filled tour given by our guide, enhanced with anecdotes and reminiscences. Very moving too.

We were led through the hangar by James, very knowledgeable and had a great wealth of information and stories. However the best part is the planes; Spitfires, Hurricanes, Dakota and the crowning glory the only airworthy Lancaster in UK. It is well worth the money...More

I took some friends who were visiting Lincolnshire for the first time as part of a day out seeing local aviation museums. We received an abrupt welcome that verged on rudeness from a far from helpful lady receptionist who seemed more concerned with our entry...More
