A bit of a walk from a train station, but a nice place to explore. You may consider taking a bus to get here. A few restaurants within walking distance. Bringing a snack in your bag may be a good idea.

We took a bus from Machida station. Using public transportation wasn't inconvenient at all. The squirrel garden is close from the bus stop as well. So everything went smoothly. Admission fee was quite reasonable. It costs 400 yen per adult. My friend and I visited this garden on weekend so there were tons of family with young children. It is... More

The place itself was easy to find, and the staff were friendly and polite. We went into the main area where we met Genki the giant rabbit, along with a few other caged rabbits and some guinea pigs in squalid conditions. We then visited a special part of the park that housed the squirrels, and we were asked to put... More

The squirrel garden was interesting, but not really worth the yen in transportation and entrance fees. The place seemed rather run down and much smaller than anticipated. The main squirrel garden was quite a sight and experience. I'd highly advise wearing long pants and maybe a long sleeved shirt for that portion of the garden, though they do provide some... More

The squirrel garden is one of the many examples of how the smallest of things are converted to a brilliant experience. The park is a must-go for kids. They will enjoy feeding the squirrels (you can buy nuts inside the park for 100 yen) and squeal with joy as they watch the acrobatic animals go about their lives

Small and nice place where you can touch and feed rabbit, squirrel and Guinea pig. It is a small place to spend one or two hours.

Went here on a rainy day to satisfy my wife's squirrel obsession. Not having seen many before in Australia, we thought they were hilarious. The open garden houses hundreds of squirrels, and the second you step outside they run over to get food off you - climbing and jumping and sneakily stealing whatever you have to offer them. Staff were... More
