Good water theme park

Good water theme park with many rides including roller-coaster, free fall etc and many interesting water rides also. Could enjoy the young kids also. The holidays are very crowded.

We took our 7-year-old son to Summerland but my husband was turned back at the door because he has a tattoo. Everyone who has a tattoo is a yakuza, according to Summerland. Even if you are caucasian and obviously on a family outing. Inside, it was average. Fairly dated and in note that in late summer, the water is freeeeeezing... More

I didn't go all over the park like a lot of other people did, but I enjoyed the large lazy river, obstacle course and few water slides I went on. I thought it was a good price for nice cool day out.

The hydrangea garden [ わんダフルネイチャーヴィレッジ あじさい園 ] will blow your mind - 15000! Even more than in Kamakura! More colors than I've ever seen!! There's a little 45-minute hiking course that takes you to the top and back where you can get nice views! There are picnic tables at the top and also a little shop selling food closer to... More

When visiting in the early spring the outside area was not open yet, there was still plenty to enjoy inside. The wave pool was tons of fun and I loved the relaxing hot water pools.

The park itself is good, plenty to do especially for kids. I've never been in such chlorinated water in all my life though, probably due to the droves of people. I've never seen so many people bunched together in all my life, and any online photographs don't lie. The queues were unbelievable. We bought the free pass to access the... More

We went to Tokyo Summer Land on a Friday morning in early November which is during the off-season so as to avoid the huge crowds that are usually experienced here. We arrived just before opening and were the first people in park, there would have been less than 20 people in total that came to the park the whole time... More

First of all, I only went to the pool area and not the amusement park, so this review is only for the water park. Getting there (from Tokyo) is not very difficult once you know where you need to go. You can't miss the bus stop in Akigawa, as you won't be the only one going this way. People in... More

If you have the opportunity to be in Tokyo on July (very hot) you should not miss the following Events, Marine Day and some summer festivals in Ueno and Kagurazaka. Marine Day or Marine Memorial Day (umi no kinen bi) is a Japanese Public Holiday celebrated on the third Monday in July, none could explain me, what is commemorated on... More
