Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is very attactive place but the access road to the waterfall is a very difficult and rough one. Walking that path is an adventurous experience. But it was a very interesting journey. Bathing here is risky. The waterfall here is small but has a different beauty. Ideal for young people. It can be a bit difficult for the elderly and the infirm to get there as the road is difficult.

I have visited this place with my family during school vacation. there is a road just next to Belihuloua resthouse to ward to left side & start your journey from there. with in o5 mins drive, you will find big board showing the direction. you can drive your vehicle in the byroad & there is a small shop where you can park your car. on the way you can have a Tea or juice. for parking they will charge Rs. 100. rest you need to walk & with in 500M you can reach the place. it will be difficult for small kids, adults in 60+ & pregnant mothers to reach to the waterfall. you need to cross the river to reach to the top & its little bit difficult. its very danger place to have a bath & do not bath in this place. many life has ended in this place. however its a worth place to visit in your life time. as there are no much walking you will enjoy it.

Can be accessed through a path that descends just after the Citrine hotel (if driving in you may have to park on the road preceding the narrow turn off to the Citrine). Immediately below is a nice bathing area including a relatively sheltered rock pool. A shuffle across brick embankement gets you to the other side, where a 15 minute clamber brings you to the pahanthuduwa waterfall itself. Challenge level - moderate. We did it with a hotel guide (which helped greatly since we had a 4 year old who required some carrying), but plenty of groups were doing it alone. The waterfall was well worth the walk.
Totally recommended, though you have to be prepared for a bit of climbing and probably shouldn't attempt this if you have serious problems with movement.
