We saw the statues at night. I recommend to see it with Basilica and a short walk around the city's main attractions - City Hall, beach and tourist information center.

The statues are very well done and are worth a stroll along the sea front to view them. A very pleasant way to spend half an hour

Walked along here a few times on our holiday in Tenerife. Great statues and fantastic scenery around this part of the island. Nearby are some very nice and reasonably priced cafes and shops. Also some nice beaches within easy walking distance.

The town is surrounded by prehistoric caves, where burials have been found containing mummies of the Guanches who were the aboriginal inhabitants of the Canary Islands. The statues are in their honour. There are 9 statues which are on display since August 1993.
