It was different to our expectation It is very touristy and there are lots of local nice and tat shops We expected a long uphill walk maybe through forest but it is all walkways and mainly based around the house/castle The views are amazing but we visited in December between Christmas and new... Well worth the trek in car up the hills from Benidorm We parked ok in the village but was busy , I presume because it was the weekend. I can only imagine in the height of thee summer season it would be chaotic. Beautiful place for the views and to walk round the village and the castle. Lots of small... More

Great scenic views. Plenty of shops but first time we had not one welcome or smile from any shop owners. Maybe they are feed up of tourists but being like this isn't conducive to me or others wanting to spend money. Other prettier villages in Spain but if in the area worth the visit.

Just knowing that the village of Guadalest is a fortified location it was something that I knew that I had to see. Some friends went and didn't understand that the castle with its bell tower and great fortified door is carved into the rock. To protect from invading Moors the villagers only had to close the door and attack wasn't... More

A great place to visit with a panoramic view over the mountains and lake. Small typical village with souvenir shops and snacks for a perfect break from the busy city.

Took a day trip here in the car. The views were great and some lovely little tapas places on the way. Took us around 3 hours to get here as we kept stopping off and wandering away. Great day though I would recommend you do this

Went to see this in December 2014 and was amazed. The height is awe-inspiring and so much history. No good for anyone who can't walk easily.

Can be hard to get there but so worth it. Beautiful mountains and views on the way there but the best part is actually getting there. Beautiful old village with lots to look at and lots of museums. Prices are not to expensive.

Great little road trip in our hired car up through the beautiful valleys & winding roads. Even on a misty November day we thoroughly enjoyed this little adventure to the top! Beautiful views and fresh mountain air! A refreshing change from the hustle & bustle of the coastal resorts! Bonus going out of season as no hoards of tourists and... More
