The Viking exhibition from Denmark was on when we visited which in itself was worth the visit. Very well put together and would appeal to all ages/interests. The normal exhibitions are also excellent and there is lots to see - all so well presented. If this was in UK would have to book tickets 6 months in advance and it... More

Spent over two hours in this awesome environment and learned so much. Great place for all family members to see the past come alive. Information is in more than Spanish so easy to understand. Exterior and interior of the building is very beautiful. Loads of things to see so plan to spend some time. Entrance fee quite reasonable.

We learnt so much. And there is so much to discover. Most guides if not all are done in Spanish so not great for those who don't understand the language

Visited today, spent 2.5 hours until it closed early (Sunday hours). Language is an issue. Spanish and Valencian Catalan (a legal requirement) but very little English, and no French or German. The current on-loan Vikings exhibit does have full English though. You can hire an i-pad that has a guide in other languages, but it was clunky, not easy to... More

This is a very elegant grand building in Alicante with ample underground parking in the immediate vicinity. Upon entering the building I was greeted by very pleasant and knowledgeable staff that spoke English. I was charged 3 euro entrance fee and another 3 euro allowed me the use of an amazing tablet with head phones so I could walk around... More

I enjoyed this museum but there's almost no information in english. However-if you read Spanish you're in for s treat. Exhibits well laid-out and informative.

Great museum and well worth a visit. Only 3 Euro to enter. Current Viking exhibition is excellent and has English with all the exhibits. Only negative point is the lack of English translations with the permanent exhibits knowing that a lot of tourists visit the museum

located in a fine old buiding (a former hospital?) ths is a superb archaeological museum. Worth combining with the Castle of Santa Barbara for a good road/pavement takes you down from the castle.
