Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Super! Excellent for kids and adults. Centrally located and good to spend an hour there to learn a bit about Alicante's culture and traditions. Free admission is certainly a bonus.

This is a free museum and well worth a visit to pass 20 mins or so. The “models” are unusual to say the least! Lots to see and a good number will make you smile. Think weird!

The figures themselves are nice to look at and since entrance is free, you should really go and spend an hour here. It's a bit tough to get the basic information on this festival though.
Jörg N wrote quite a good review which I mostly agree to.

Such intricate statues, amazing to see and read about the history surrounding them. Such a lovely hour spent here seeing everything - really made me want to come at the time of the festival!

Spent a good hour here out of the sun looking at the most amazing papier maché sculptures which take a year to make. Our Spanish friend explained that only part of the actual scene from each year is kept, for obvious reasons. It was lovely to see photos from as far back as the 1920's of the bonfire queens, one adult and one child per year. A very enjoyable time at another free venue, every museum and castle we went to was free, what a refreshing change.

This is a very quirky, different museum. Models from the San Juan fire festival going right back to 1920s with lovely old photos too.
Children will love it and free to enter.

The leaflets and info now has an English translation otherwise a visitor might not realise what they were looking at. The models are humourous and tell the story of the festival over the years.

This delightful museum was a wonderful find just up from where we were staying. It houses a collection of figures used in previous Bonfires of St John festivals that were saved from being burnt. The artists have cleverly created a bunch of interesting and often comical figures which are all fun to look at. There is also a short film showing previous celebrations and a photo display of each woman and child who was selected as the beauty queen and princess for each year going back to 1932. I’m not exactly sure what their role is in the festival though. Some text is translated into English and whilst the translation isn’t perfect, it’s good enough. I just wish the whole lot was also in English as it’s interesting to learn the history of this huge festival that’s been running since the late 1920’s. And the museum was free!

The place is free and I found it to be one of the best museums in all of Alicante. Super fun for adults and children.
