Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The visit is very pleasant, with very good explanations of all the winemaking processes, and very well encouraged by our host, who in this case was Sergio. The winery is family-owned and very small, but it has great charm. During the tasting time, you can talk with the visitors in your group, and share the experience. The sausage they serve is very good and helps balance the wine with some food. The wines are good, both white and red. It has been a good choice for a special day.

We did a vineyard tour and tasting here in September which was wonderful. Eduardo led our tour in English so it was really easy to understand the history of the vineyard and how they make wine there.
Really nice wines to taste, very reasonably priced and in beautiful setting!

One can’t help but love the enthusiasm of the family that owns and runs Vera De Estanas. We started our tour in the family caves in the town of Utiel, and finished at the delightful family winery about 20 minutes away. The setting is lovely, providing a beautiful view of the countryside. Our guide was knowledgeable, passionate about wine and eager to share the story of his family’s business. Tasting the wines, and cava, provided a perfect end to the engaging story. We will return with friends as it makes for a wonderful day and great introduction to Spanish wines.

The tour was very informative, professional and interesting.
We learned about different kinds of grapes, how they cultivate them and the work that goes into producing a bottle of wine.
Really nice winery, lovely old Hacienda with all its charm.
There is also a hotel so you can book the tour and stay in the hotel , their wines were really good, we tried several and I fell in love with 2 of them, but to tell you the truth all were really good. We also had lunch at the site and the food was superb.
Our tour guide was one of the owners and he took his time to take us through the history of the hacienda and the winery.
We will definitely look for their wines once we are back in the country that we live in now.
Our wine tasting experience was really relaxing, educational, fun and tasteful.
We really enjoyed Vera de Estenas bodega and its charming wine tour.

A visit to a family owned winery. The explanation (in Spanish, I do not know if they offer anything in English) is very educational and you get a clear idea of the whole process and how things work in the world or wines. The owners are literate in enology and not only businessmen but real professionals of wine.
The place is nice and cozy, small vineyard, little production but everything taken care of.
The wine is very peculiar, it is a regional variety mixed sometimes with other kinda of grape.

I came with my friends and husband to visit this beautiful winery in Spain! We spent 2 weeks in this area learning about wine and gaining knowledge about this great craft. Everyone we met was incredibly welcoming. Eduardo gave us a tour of the facility and also shared about his passion that has been passed down through generations. This is a family run winery, and it shows in the museum, in the art work on the walls, and as you walk through the buildings. We were extremely blessed to have the opportunity to try a delicious Vina Lidon chardonnay that is completely unique to only their winery. Being an individual that doesn't always love chardonnays I was shocked that I absolutely loved this one. This wine is phenomenal, full flavor, and has a delicious aroma. We are excited to purchase more of it in the future.
If you are in the area this is a must stop. You will walk away changed and will have learned so much by the end of the visit. This place is a gem.

Vera de Estenas is one of the best wineries to visit in the Utiel-Requena region (near Valencia). A small family winery, and everybody is very welcoming. Eduardo does a very enthusiastic guided tour (and speaks good english), showing you the vineyards and the whole winery, and you end the visit with a wine tasting of 3 very nice wines. Absolutely recommended!

I visited the winery last month with my husband and we were very well impressed for many reasons:
1- As it is located at a top of a “hill”, at the arrival you will meet a breathless landscape from which you can see the property’s plantation and Utiel on the background.
2- Casa Don Angel - the family-run property - is stunning and will set the right atmosphere for the visit. The guide is the owner of the place, a very knowledgeable and gentle person that will provide every important information about the place and its wine.
3- The wine is spectacular and you will have the opportunity to try at least three different types. From the Bobal, typical of this region, to the Cava, you will find it very hard to choose the best. Do not miss the special offers to take a few bottles home!
It is certainly a visit worth the time and money. I recommend it not just for people staying in Requena or Utiel, but also for those in Valencia looking for a great way to spend the morning.

they are very flexible; if you call or email and make an appointment, they will tell you what time they do the tours, and if they can change the time to suit your schedule.
