Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful and wild sea but whole experience was a nightmare. Worst dirt road I've ever driven on. Bushes on the side growing into the road which can sratch your car. On the way back google map took us on a different way out which was a quite steep uphill road with stones. Little Fiat 500 nearly gave up! On the day we went the sea was angry with waves, full of seaweed as well. The opposite to crystal clear. So unless you know the place I don't recommend it.

We read the other reviews, took SS 115 from Sciacca to Torre Salsa, two exits off main road first is Bova Marina second was a bit tighter before some S bends about another 1k towards Siciluarna.

Followed the other reviews looking for entrance "Pantano", we followed the tarmac road onto the sandy track for the nature reserve car park. The track was no issue, steady away in second gear. There are a couple of blind bends and the odd hole or rough section. If it rains some parts of the track could become rutted. Hire car survived no problem.

The car park is a few minutes walk to beach, as mentioned no facilities except for Barry White ice cream van selling ice cream, drinks and ice cream in a brioche bun that I must try.

The beach was clean, sandy and easy to enter, it was quite shallow and suitable for young families.

On the right end of the of the beach there are rocks with sea grass, anemones, crabs, sea snails, sea cucumbers and plenty of fish.

For the south coast with its sandy beaches, snorkeling has been quite poor. Whilst this is not as good as North West areas of the island it suggests some green shoots in the nature reserve for a young reef but will take some years to mature.

Overall we had a great time and would recommend. Don't worry about the track as long as it is dry.

We never did get into the reserve because we did not realize that there are two entrances. We were driving toward Agrigento from the west and turned off at Montallegro when we saw the sign for Riversa Torre Salsa. We followed the signs until we came to an impassable muddy road and could not continue. It took a long time to understand the problem. Our guide book was directing us to the eastern entrance closer to Agrigento. From what we could tell, it is easy to enter the reserve this way and it takes you directly to the beach. So make sure you are going to the right entrance!

Fabulous beach stretching many kilometres and for once on sicily we appreciated the poor organisation and lack of information from the Sicilian authorities as this probably helps to keep this place quiet.

We couldn't get to the WWF centre as the dirt track was blocked by tree cutters so we followed advice from another TA reviewer and headed just back up the road to the Torre Salsa Agriturismo and parked there. A bit steep at €10 euro but you get to reach a remote part of the beach down a further private track into the woods just behind the beach where you can park and then walk 5 minutes through the dunes onto the beach. By all accounts the Agriturismo is very well rated and looked a great spot to stay if we return to Sicily.

The beach is stunning. Sandy and generally clean, beautiful clear warm water in July and vistas in all directions will get your iPhone camera clicking. From where we chose to pitch for the day there was 2 other couples about 500 metres away in each direction so very very peaceful. No facilities at all so take everything you need, though if you walk about 2km round the beach there is a small beach cafe and slightly busier area from another point of access (montallegro marina?)

To get to Torre Salsa in the first place, get off the SS115 at the Montallegro exit from where it's signposted and about 15 minutes drive.

If you go to this place please don't leave trash around! you can park for 3 euros at the WWF parking. There are no facilities on that part of the beach. It's virgin and beautiful. If you walk to the right you will find the white smooth rock! enjoy and preserve the beauty of this amazing place

We were here for over 11 days and each day we visited different beach however none and I mean none of them was clean and as beautiful as this one. We entered via Agriturismo Torre Salsa, there is a fee involved but as we really wanted to go we paid £5 per car, £4 per adult and since our child was under 5 we didn't pay (otherwise £3). After a short drive we parked almost at the beach and there was plenty of spaces.
As I mentioned the beach was clean and beautiful with plenty of spaces to put your things down. Water is crystal clear which made snorkeling a good fun. The beach is also suitable for kids. There is also a restaurant by the entrance but we never been as had other dinner arangements. Beach is open until 7pm.

This is one of the best places I've ever visited.
The sea is beautiful, with clear water, only a bit cold, and a beach with fine and white sand.
The day I went there was really hot with a lot of wind, but my friends and I were able to enjoy the place.
The parking is big, but you have to pay for staying there, 3 euros for a day. At the entrance there's someone who takes the money and explains briefly what kind of beaches you can find and where.
There's the first one, in order of distance from the parking zone, that's covered in sand, the second one is a mix between sand and rocks and the last one is particular because there are rocks who form little natural lakes where the water is calm even if flow is strong.
It's a very isolated place, there's only green, the sea and the beach. No bars, no organization of any kind, only a little ice-cream van.
The only thing I can object is that the indications for this place are really confused and it's difficult to reach since the road signs stop at a certain point leaving you completely lost.
It's a magnificent place and it could be more indicated.

It's quite unbelievable that you can still find such an almost untouched, open beach in Italy. Don't give up if you at first don't find it. There is a nature reserve but the road may be unpassable, so go through the "Agriturismo" with its park gate, pay 3 euro, and drive on, you can park at the end of any of the several paths to the beach.

Relatively quiet and worth a visit. Like manyof the tourist spots, close to neglected countryside. At least it was accessible.

We have tried the beaches around Syracusa , including the nature reserve, the various beaches around Agrigento but this has been the best so far. Kind of regretted going on the last day of our stay in Agrigento as we would have gone back.
Long sandy beach and very quiet. Took a walk and stumbled upon some nudists though.
