The architect who designed the church in 1840 is William Owen (and this is the only church he ever designed) who ran the Board of Works. The church was completed by J.J. McCarthy who added the belfry in 1861.Recently modernised.

I went to Kilrush because my great grandmother was from there. It was lovely to see the church and light a candle for her. A beautiful church.

Fantastic structure and great alter. The stained glass windows make this even better. Those who paid for the windows have their names on the bottom of the stained glass. A must see for most.

Stopped by this very beautiful church. There is a grotto across the street for Blessed Virgin Mary. The church is breathtaking. Highly recommend a visit here.

St. Senan's Church is blessed with the presence and beauty of many a Cathedral. The stained glass windows, altar and organ gallery are a joy to behold.

If you don't have any particular reason to visit, you will perhaps skip it as a tourist... It is a beautiful building with typical stained glass décor. A nice short visit is ok and warranted.

Probably some of the most spectacular stained glass I've seen in Ireland. I felt a sense of inner peace in just sitting in this church. A most see if you are in the area.
