Thanks to everyone at the Regal for making our family and friends private screening a perfect way to spend the afternoon together. From the safe check-in to the friendly barman and the knowledgable house manager, everything ran smoothly. With it being most people’s first cinema visit since lockdown the setting couldn’t be better. All our guests commented on how clean and stylish the place was and we are already planning a return for Top Gun II and the new Bond movie. The Regal is exactly how cinema should be.

Fantastic private booking for friends and family to remember Tim. The staff and volunteers at the Regal Cinema in Fordingbridge were great from start to finish. It's a really lovely place to hold an event with private film viewing. I can thoroughly recommend it.

I absolutely loved this place! The Regal cinema certainly lives up to its name. As a movie fan, it offers an incredible experience that only adds to the reason for being there. Barry and the team ensure that you're not just there to watch a film, but to experience something really special. If you're in the area, make it a priority! You won't be disappointed.

I booked this fabulous little cinema for a private screening as a Christmas treat for friends last Sunday. The cinema is totally Covid compliant and we all felt safe and well looked after by the staff( all volunteers) The cinema has been beautifully renovated, seats are super comfy and each seat has a little table that you can rest your drinks on. They have a great little bar.
We are all still talking about our wonderful afternoon spent at the Regal.
Can’t wait to return.

Last weekend, whilst on a min-break to the New Forest, we discovered this beautifully restored ‘picture house’ by chance. The cinema is a real delight, run by the community. The choices of forthcoming films are clearly displayed, with tickets available either online or, as we did, via Fordingbridge book store. If you get there early, take advantage of the beautiful of the Art Deco style bar, drinks were allowed into the cinema and could be placed within the receptacle of the armrest.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

This is a great facility for locals and visitors alike, as it offers both annual and daily memberships, and not only do you save on time and travel costs to larger towns, but the ticket pricing is very competitive. The range of films is for all tastes and ages, and having relocated back to the area from London I can also now enjoy the best live performances on screen from RSC, NT, and Royal Ballet. I'm very comfortable visiting here on my own with friendly volunteers and a comfortable bar, and cinema seats to relax in.

Fordingbridge now boasts its own local cinema. It seats 30 people and offers a wide variety of films - every day a different movie, from the 1950s through to this year's blockbusters. The small size of the cinema makes the evening out a friendly experience, much better than visiting a large, impersonal multiplex. The cosy bar offers a selection of beers, wines and other drinks. I enjoyed watching "Spitfire" here. The sound quality was impressive - I just could imagine myself sitting in the cockpit, watching out for enemy aircraft to appear from nowhere! I thoroughly recommend a visit to this cinema.

Thank you for your kind review. We think it's a very special venue too and we were delighted that a member of the audience was a 96 year old gentleman who was a Spitfire pilot in 1942/43!

Excellent friendly small cinema which I visited last night to watch the National Theatre stream of Henry V.
Volunteers man the bar and tick you off as you enter ( only 30 seats ) and offer a great selection of drinks in the Art Deco bar beforehand; coffee available for those of a more delicate constitution.
Thoroughly recommended

I have been a member of the cinema for around 6 months. Every time I have been to see a film it has always been a great experience from start to finish.
The Art-Deco style Restoration has been finished to a very high standard. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.
I have recommended the cinema to all of my friends and family and they also love the place and have become members .
Personally I really like the special events. We recently enjoyed dressing up in 60's outfits for a Beatles film they were showing.

Hello. Thank you for your review. We try to put on a special event every few months, the next one is the documentary 'A Plastic Ocean' on Sat 13th April. This screening will have a Q&A with the New Forest Costal Ranger.

Absolutely brilliant. Have always enjoyed coming here with my mum to see fantastic movies. We watched a movie that was a sing-a-long which is no bother, lovely to see kids enjoying it. However, we spent the majority of our time in there having kids kicking the backs of our seats, talking over the film, messing about, in and out of the cinema and paying very little interest in the film itself. Such a shame. Ushers would be good in this instance because the parents weren’t telling them to be quiet!

Hello. Thank you for getting in touch and it's great to hear you've been enjoying your trips to The Regal.
Every Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm we have special family screenings. Adults are only £5 and children are free. We want to encourage as many people as possible within the local community to enjoy the benefits of The Regal, and for some children this is their very first visit to a cinema.
I think you must have attended the recent screening of The Greatest Showman. We have had several normal (non sing-along) evening screenings of this so one of these showings might have been more suitable for you and your mother.
We normally need our lovely volunteers to be helping out in other areas (bar, projection etc.) and as you know the auditorium is small, so we don't usually have ushers in the auditorium itself. However, we love our beautiful cinema and want everyone to respect it, and others that are there to enjoy watching a film. We will have a polite word with parents and look into getting a pre-film trailer that educates children about cinema etiquette.
We look forward to seeing you at The Regal again soon.
