Must see

Amazing. Must see before they will find investors who convert it to hotel. This place stimulates imagination of kids and adults. Feels a history.

We went to visit the place last summer. We have reviewed it before but TA knows our experience better than we do so they haven't posted. Rude lady at the gate told us that we can't pay with card and we have to go to the cash machine to the town few kilometres away from the castle. Locals and friends... More

Great castle to visit - especially when the weather is nice. Look for special events there. A lot of shows and activities for the whole family. Couples like to make their photo-sessions there since it's quite romantic ;) It's a really nice touch of a history saved in this cold walls :D I recommend to see it!

Totally worth of coming and seeing! It is amazing and unexpected. The only thing is that the place is crowded but being there it is so understandable. I would wish myself more places like that in Poland.

Almost a two hour drive by car from Tarnów through lovely small villages and towns, the ruins are just suddenly there. It is hard to imagine the one grandeur of this huge place. Would have liked to have seen a brochure describing the castle history and layout in more detail as there was no information posted once you were inside.

We went by car from Krakow ; I do not see that it is very easy to reach by public transport. This is probably the biggest folly in Europe. Gigantic in scope, it was hardly used and no-one wanted to pay to keep it in good condition afterwards. So we have a very imposing ruin. Basically symmetrical, it features several... More

A great place to visit if you are in the area, 10pln to enter. Small shop just outside the gate to buy snacks. Huge investment recently for use as a wedding venue. But this is well hidden away and doesn't spoil the place. Toilet facilities are fantastic, you would be hard pressed to find better anywhere.

In the middle of nowhere lies an amazing ruin of once the biggest palace in Europe. Result of a crazy dream of an aristocrat, burnt down by a marching army few years after completion, never rebuilt is an abstract, but well preserved ruin. If you have one hour - just go and see it. It is absolutely breathtaking and allows... More

Fantastic castle ruins, a real photographers dream location! It cost only 10zloty (2 pounds) entrance fee and car parking is free. Nothing commercial about this place, just good old history.

What a mangnificent structure it must have been when in full glory! It is such a pity it was destroyed before our times. I would love to see it rebuilt.
