Wakana teaches you the real Japanese culture such as traditional calligraphy, cooking(Udon noodle and Japanese omelette Tamagoyaki), Origami, Tsumami-zaiku etc... At the calligraphy class, you will write your favorite word with your name in Japanese and you can take them home as a souvenir:) Udon making class comes with either Calligraphy, Tamagoyaki making or Origami folding course. While we let Udon dough sit 1-1.5 hours, I'll show you one more Japanese culture!! After this course, you will be able to make Udon noodle by yourself at home!! Local mini tour (showing my local area such as Akihabara or Ueno. Also 2 famous shrines. I'll teach you how to pray) and more are available!! It's located in the centre of Tokyo:) I can also introduce you the best place where you can have tea-ceremony experience!!

My boyfriend and I were in Japan for a few weeks and wanted to have a less touristy experience. I'd dabbled in learning the language a bit on and off for a few years, but had little to no knowledge of kanji. Wakana was so...More

We did Calligraphy class, Udon noodles and Tsunami-zaiku (flowers) at Wakana's place. Wakana was a great teacher and we had lots of fun. We learned a lot about calligraphy. We did the words "music" and "angel". Calligraphy is done right-handed. But as we are left-handed,...More

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
