This park is humungus! It is one of the best places to view the cherry blossoms in spring while having a BBQ. You can book a space for free, and you can rent all you need from their BBQ shop. The BBQ course set is pretty good value, or bring your own. Great place to kick back and party with... More

Mizumoto Park is a gem for Tokyo, but I think the real draw is the kids park on the other side of the lake in Misato Park. I tried to walk all the way around the lake (didn't want to double back the way I came) and I definitely do NOT recommend. The path doesn't go all the way around... More

We often go this park and we love it. We loved cherry blossoms in April and now there are more flowers to enjoy. Iris, Hydrangea, and Lotus flowers are peak now in this beautiful park. You also can try a lots of food at Yatai (food booth). There will be local Karaoke competition on this weekend, too. I think you... More

We visited the park at the peak of the cheery blossom season on a weekday. It was cold and sunny and there weren't crowds of people around. We walked along the paths into the park and avenues of blossom trees. It was a very peace inducing experience, surrounded by corridors of blossoms, 2-3 small groups/families picnicking under the trees.... Everyone... More

This park should be visited around May to catch the flowers in bloom (of course, slight variations by year). The rest of the year, there are other things to see. If leisurely cycling while watching the greenery roll past is to your liking, I recommend this park. You can actually cross over into Saitama prefecture which is a different park... More

The southern end of Mizumoto Park is filled with Iris ponds. The whole park is filled with cherry trees that blossom in the spring. On any day you can watch as the men drop lines in the pond in the hopes of catching "the big one". The park is really too big to walk around the pond, but there are... More

My wife and I recently visited Mizumoto Park and we were both taken aback by it's size, how well maintained it was and it's impressive bird sanctuary. The park is about a 15 min walk from Kanemachi station, but a bus does go from the station to the park every 15-20 minutes if you do not fancy the walk. The... More
