This is a comparatively small shrine in Meguro, ubiquitous and rather unimpressive, although popular with local community folks especially during the New Year's holidays.

This was an interesting observation of the Japanese Tori no Ichi festival where you get to see first hand local Tokyo residents prays good luck and prosperity in November. The believers will "kumade" rakes which will be celebrated with a chant wishes with gusto from the vendors and it is quite a spectacle to view and experience. It is crowded... More

If you like calm feel in busy metro... Take a short walk and relax... Not far from Mefuro River famous for cherry blossom during Spring...

I visited so many shrines in Tokyo, Japan and all were wonderful on my trip. This one is good to. Try to see all that you can!
