suitable for 16+ kids, its a dream come true for gamers, as they can see and play in real life the games they play on consoles

It was cold out, so we thought this would be a fun indoor activity. We soon learned we were too old to spend the kind of money needed to play the games. Also the lines were pretty annoying. And we put more money than we needed on our card, and they wouldn't refund it. We had to use it in... More

We visited Joypolis on a rainy day with 4 kids aged 8 - 15. There are some very cool rides in Joypolis. We opted for the unlimited ticket which included the rides but not the arcade games. This was good value for all except the 8 year old as he only went on a couple of rides and was mostly... More

I did enjoy my time here and it was loads of fun. Though I bought a pass and ended up feeling it was a bit pricey. There is a decent range of things to do and the staff are lovely. I'd recommend this to families with teenagers, it's in a nice area and the trip there is also rather enjoyable.

We stumbled across this attraction when waiting for the Odaiba shopping mall to open and to our surprise we entered into a big kids (and little kids) playground. What caught our attention the most was a poster displaying the virtual reality (VR) simulators; something that we wanted to see whilst in Tokyo. We were able to purchase tickets at the... More

My teenagers loved it. Lots to do in a small space. I thought it was reasonably priced an was easy to get to by public bus.

Buy just an admission ticket at the front gate. You can buy an unlimited pass for just the difference once inside, so go in and see how long the lineups are. If you don't want to spend a while in line for the day you might just want to buy a few rides worth. Lockers are inside. To ride, take... More

Awesome arcade. You can spend 3 hours easy. Our kids of 10 year old boy and 4 year old girl enjoyed it here more than Disney sad to say. We went on a weekday so the lines were not much. Easy to enjoy the rides and games. Their Transformer ride is awesome. If Universal have 4D ride they have an... More

I'm not super into BR or simulators or games, but I had a fun day with my husband here. My husband and I went here because he wanted to play the Zero Latency VR. If you do too, make sure to book this beforehand because it requires a reservation (and is usually full) and it costs an extra $18 per... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
