Overpriced but fun..

Joypolis was fun to experience. But considering my brother and I skipped disneyland to check Joypolis instead they were almost the same price with the ladder providing less. We... read more

My teenagers loved it. Lots to do in a small space. I thought it was reasonably priced an was easy to get to by public bus.

Buy just an admission ticket at the front gate. You can buy an unlimited pass for just the difference once inside, so go in and see how long the lineups are. If you don't want to spend a while in line for the day you might just want to buy a few rides worth. Lockers are inside. To ride, take... More

Awesome arcade. You can spend 3 hours easy. Our kids of 10 year old boy and 4 year old girl enjoyed it here more than Disney sad to say. We went on a weekday so the lines were not much. Easy to enjoy the rides and games. Their Transformer ride is awesome. If Universal have 4D ride they have an... More

I'm not super into BR or simulators or games, but I had a fun day with my husband here. My husband and I went here because he wanted to play the Zero Latency VR. If you do too, make sure to book this beforehand because it requires a reservation (and is usually full) and it costs an extra $18 per... More

We went there on a rainy day! Best idea ever! We spent there 2 hours (8pm-10pm) . Joypolis closes at 10 pm and you get a discount for purchased tickets during this time of the day. Entrance fee was 2800 yen .

Joypolis was fun to experience. But considering my brother and I skipped disneyland to check Joypolis instead they were almost the same price with the ladder providing less. We had to pay even more for the VR experience shooter game which was alot of fun. There is a slight discount if you have your passport. A small concession stand and... More

Came here and had so much fun. There seems to be an equal amount of arcade games and actual rides/simulation. My favourites were the rail rollercoaster which has a loop, the sonic at the olympics game, the transformers ride (the best out of all the 3d games) but number one is the half pipe ride. Went on it three times... More

We stumbled across this place while in Odaiba with friends who were in town and would recommend this to even tourists interested in taking in some virtual reality simulators. My husband loves video games and turned into a kid rushing from simulator to simulator. From the old school whack-a-mole and basketball shooting games to racing cars while sitting in real... More

Joypolis is easily accessible via the Japanese rails. If you visit after 6.30 in the evening, there is a significant discount. Bring your passport, apparently there is further discount for tourist. However, pls go to their website for a review of their latest terms and conditions. Joypolis is really fun for kids. There is a Transformer section where one sits... More

For those who love arcade games this place is perfect for you. This is not a theme park. It is an indoor attraction. What I don't like is you'll have to wait in a long queue for a 5 mins attraction. Their restaurant is nice because it has a good view from its terrace. This place is perfect for teenagers... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
